That's a failsafe condition. loss of power.

also if the wobble goes away with a higher headspeed, you've likely got a set of blades out of balance.

Well, failsafe condition from what, everything checks out and it happens randomly. The blades are spot on with the tracking and I thought I balanced the blades when I got them but I'll check again. Have to wait till tomorrow its bed time.

the bilking lights indicates the receiver has cycled power (or browned out), the throttle drop is the position you bound the throttle to during bind, it holds that position till the receiver reboots.

Hmmm, so the only thing I can figure that would do that is not enough juice in the battery or a short between the battery and the receiver. Looks like I might get some flight time in this weekend. I have two new planes to try and maiden also..
Thanks KC..

the FBL system requires a good bit more power from the battery, it could be you have a battery with high internal resistance and under high loads the voltage is dropping low enough to brown out the receiver. switches build up corrosion and cause the same, you can bypass your switch (battery directly to receiver) and see if you still get the reset.

could be you need a new switch, battery or both.

Unfortunately I can't by pass the switch cause it is built into my Ubec. It is an Align RCE-B6X and I have voltage options. I'm running a two cell 7.4v 1800mah battery right now. I may have to up it to a 2 cell with may be 2600mah

I found out why my receiver was browing out. I had a bad solder joint, fix it now everything is good on the electrical end. I did a short maiden flight and I'm uploading it now. You guys take a look see and see if you can help me out. Woo Hoo palms are sweating...

tr911,

I am looking forward to your video!

I flew my Raptor 50 on lunch today. I took all the expo out to speed up the cyclic as much as possible.

After flying FBL machines, I am afraid I will need to follow your example and upgrade mine-I am going to need the head, a BeastX, and a new regulator, but it should be worth it.

Ok, here it is. It's a 3 minute video and it took over 2 hours to upload.. go figure. It is not edited and it is as is. I've did a little trimming on the engine and I still need to do the pitch curves. Let me know if you see something I need to do..

the muff smoke and the flag at the end of the drive shows only light winds but regardless the BeastX holds my 50 in 30+ winds, i'd double check the swash for level.

I did play with the swash parameter i probably just moved it to far to the left. I also balanced the blades and one of them was a little heavy took about a inch of packing tape to even them up. It felt like 25 mph wind.. It is definitely an improvement from the flybar version. It really responds good. I really like it and I think it was a great investment for the helicopter.

It's suppose to get up to 57 degrees and no wind. I might be able to get this puppy out in the air and do some tweaking. Sure hope so.

Winds are 15-20 with higher gusts and it's low 40s here so only got two flights in before my fingers didn't want to feel the sticks anymore. BeastX preformed flawlessly. Even with the high wind and gusts I locked it in an inverted hover and took my hands off the sticks for a good 20 seconds before having to make a correction.
