The two heli's blade-grips have different part numbers but no-one seems to know definitively if they are the same. They certainly seem the same. Oddly the mSR X grips are cheaper, go figure!

Hi I know what you mean, I just wanted to confirm that grips for the msr do indeed fit the msrx

Dave

I have used both and haven't noticed any difference. So yes the MSR ones fit the X.

Should have probably written I have used and broken both

I've been buying the mSR grips for a few months now and they work fine. Finally the LHS had some mSRX grips and I bought them. Only difference I can see is they come with o-rings on the ball joint arms.

I've had my MSRX for three months. Seeing as I'm quite new to helis I spent a lot of time smashing this bird into EVERYTHING. Just last weekend I finally broke the ball off of the blade grip. All my hobby store had in stock was the MSR grips. They were exactly the same as the X's down to the "1" stamping and also came with the hardware and the little orings. Same parts as far as I'm concerned. Part number for MSRX grips is BLH3214. if your shop doesn't have them give the MSR # EFLH3014. Happy hovering everyone!!

Grip and screws are exactly same but msrx package has little rubber ring on each side of the ball. I do not sure exactly why msrx needs rubber ring thogh.

Helps dampen the linkages, same as for the mCP X V2, if you fit one of the MH grips it does not have them.

That's interesting, I've just received some mSR X spare grips stamped with a "2" not a "1". I wonder what that means, if anything.

I do a lot of repairs for my job using plastic parts. Sometimes the stamp means what formula is used in the mold. Sometimes it designates generation. Hard to say on these grips but I'm glad they are interchangeable. Who's MSRX floats forward in right hand yaw and backwards in left. Might just be me but input is def needed on sticks for smooth circuits!!!!

msr grips come with the o-rings too, they are just loose in the hardware bag instead of attached lime the msrx grips. Locally the msr grips cost .30 more but they always got em in stock.

Mine's the same and it seems pretty much what I'd expect from a small, lightweight heli so I'd call it normal.

The number on the grip more than likely refers to the cavity number in the injection mold. I've one seen 1 and 2 on these which leads me to believe they have a two cavity mold making blade grips. Each mold cycle makes two grips, one from cavity 1 and one from cavity 2. The circle it is in is probably an ejector pin in the tool with the number in it.
