When one does an AR7200BX setup, strange things can show up.....

Was that the first time you did a setup?

No. I did a full setup from scratch on my previous 450X. I've made a few changes on the 300X. But this is the first time I've bothered with this one. I'm surprised it would come from the factory with such a strange setup. My other blade products have been pretty solid right out of the box.

I've had 3, and have made it a habit to do a full setup right out of the box....none have been
setup properly out of the box.....

But it's no biggie....I felt I had to learn the AR7200BX and once learned, it's pretty easy to make any adjustments.....and they fly great....

Took 5 minutes and re-did my 3gx settings after my frame swap. Test hovered in the basemen for 15 seconds. Heli is good to go for indoor flying tomorrow!

Funny thing: When I went to do the setup I grabbed the heli, grabbed the ar7200bx manual... A few seconds later after looking at the heli I remembered I swapped a 3gx into it and I had the wrong manual in front of me.

It's actually put on by the competing hobby shop in our city lol. It's fun, so we go and pay out smaller competitor $20 each for 2 hours to fly.. There is usually 30-60 people that turn out for it every second Friday.

If there is a place like that (golf dome) in your town, talk to your LHS and if there is interest get the ball rolling and set something up!

It was a good night! Probably 30 planes and 15 Helis. Put three batteries through my 450, the motor spunding worse and worse each flight. Before the fourth flight I told a few people the motor was on ot's way out, and sure enough on the fourth the motor siezed up. I autoed the heli down to a safe landing.

My spare Align 450MX goes in ASAP now.

Condolences on the 440H but the indoor thing sounds great.

A LHS in Melb runs a indoor night once a month which I'd love to attend.

Not sure I'd be at all able to let loose indoors as I can't do piro flips and other tight on the deck stuff which seems to be what is needed indoors. I'd guess you'd need a huge amount of heli control in a really tight space to enjoy a 450 indoors.

You've obviously been flying a while now, what level did this event require?

In a years time I'd love it give it a go!

Nice flying! Too bad at the end there, but damage didn't look bad at all.

Great flying! Minor miscalculation at the end but seriously great control and right on the deck too!

Nope not much damage. spindle, tail blades, main blades, main gear. Stripped cyclic gears. I was just waiting on the next crash to replace them though.
