I agree, those Canomods appear to be customized/special order... they are not listed under the stock items for 450Xes.

I bought a Canomod for my 6HV for $25 when they had a sale recently and I'm really happy with it, too. I think that they're a sister company to Fusuno, from what I've read.

Lightbulb It's an E-flite 450 Brushless Motor

It's an E-flite 450 motor that works with the Stock ESC but you'll have to source an alternate brand of pinion for it to work on the 450X Main Gear.

I agree with Knuckledragger, those Canomod canopy's are kick-arse! But riddle me this...why is the "shell" design so similar to Fusuno's offering?

Just curious is all, Excellent design and color combo's!

Still with stock servos, but a Scorpion-6 and running at 6v. The canopy really helps visibility in this UK autumn weather.

I noticed that too. I'm sure they would be happy to use the EX shape for those particular schemes

I wonder if they just used the stock profile for the rendering?

Thanks Knuckledragger! I love the -6, it makes everything feel effortless and doesn't understand the word bogging.

I know the 'pineapple' canopy isn't original, though it's still one of my favourites. Before your post I was looking around this afternoon for a 130x pineapple canopy and one of the links I stumbled on was the pics of your 450x canopy after your pup munched it!

LOL, stupid dog. Yeah, the pineapple one is still probably my favorite because the colors are so bright. I just think it's a great paint job.

That looks good... I would also swap to some better tail blades. The best I've found so far are the KBDD 61mm. You just need to drop the gyro rate a bit. I've got the alu tail blade grips and they're much better.

Does the alu tail box have a locating pin for the boom, or do you have to make sure it's correctly positioned by eye? Does it feel stiffer than the plastic setup?

They will make ANY design you ask for on any of their canopies. You just need to provide a picture for them to follow, whether it's a picture of another canopy or a photoshop of what you would like. They will do it for no additional charge too. It's how I got my custom canopies made.
