Take an aluminum or even steel pipe and beat it against something hard, then do it with a carbon pipe......then you will be a believer.

i wish i had of bought the carbon fiber ones instead of aluminum now
how do you go with your heli during flight? you have a lot of dark components on there - especially in the tail - does it make it harder to see?

looks nice with all the aluminum parts! did you find the tail was heavy after installing? i really wish the main gears were a different color i find it cheapens the look

I think you could dye them... same as skids, tail blades and fins.

Or use the black gears from the blade 400. They are the same but black.

Don't have a lot of stick time with it but
The hover went well...I think the new esc and bigger motor help counter the slightly heavier tail...

The grips are the same and the 450 today and you still need to run spacers on the blades.....Not a big deal but makes changing blades out a bit more of a PITA.

Hope this helps....
Are those Align blades FBL specific blades? Are FBL specific blades even needed on this heli? Hope not since I already have multiple sets of carbon blades for my 4503D. The 450X is in the mail!

I had to use the spacers on both sides of the blades as well with the Align 3G blades. I would be interested in learning of blades that do not require spacers with the stock grips.

Why? What's the big deal with using spacers?

Once the blades are on the grips, no longer an issue. However, it is much easier to swap blades that do not require spacers. Changing blades that require aligning the blades and spacers is a more time consuming process. If one tries changing the blades at the field, one risks loosing the spacers. One looks really silly when on all fours trying to find small parts on the grass.

Thanks! Awesome that the 3G blades are only $15/set.

The 450X grips are about the same size as the 450 3D ones.

I suspect the only blades you will find readily that will fit the grips will be the 450 3D woodies. I've not tried the them, so I can say this is but a guess. They're probably not a realistic option; they are not rated for the 450X stock running at full tilt, probably not balanced ideally for FBL, if at all.
