Just curious? Why the tail servo arms over the cyclic arms?

Rich - don't get what you mean by tail servo arms over cyclic arms ...

Maybe it's just me.

I never seen the "+" servo arms you have on the cyclics, used on them. Just seen them on the tail servo's.

I guess it don't matter though as long as you get the correct throw.

The larger + servo arms that come with the Spektrum H3020s are the best fit so long as the ball is fitted to the inside of one of the longer arms to get the right angle [longer arms with 4 holes, shorter ones that sit vertically have 3 holes]. I quite like them as they are without snipping off the other arms, and they don't get in the way of anything. The MKS tail servo comes with just large arms extending both ways. They need the top snipped off to avoid contact with the front screw holding the tail servo frame, and I have sanded the ends round for a tidier look.

My A3020's came with ones that were like the ones you used also, they were to short so I just sniped down the longer ones after lining up the length/throw.

Happy with mine - they line up nice and straight. With the refit and new servos, it has a much better feel. Took it out the back yesterday and lifted just a few feet up a few times, mainly checking blade tracking. It held well and tail is nice and steady. Whole thing shudders a bit spooling up from low power, but it sits firm soon as the throttle heads toward 25%. A happy lad now, need only to get my flying confidence/response up to the same level as the 450!

Default White Sands flying

Well here is a pic of my 450 today in White sands national Monument, it was a lot of fun buzzing between the dunes, mods include home made carbon boom and tail pushrod, upgraded servos and 400 main gears, oh and zip tie mounts for landing skids, and a Lynx tail boom support brace to eliminate the silly horizontal fin.

That is a good question.

I went to my LHS and demanded 400 gears...still don't know why.

Default zip ties and 400 gears

Well the 400 gears are the older blade 400 main gears, they are black which is neat, but more importantly, they are rounder, and thus eliminate a lot of vibes. The zip ties are used on the landing gear as they are a failure point if I should crash, they will break free far more easily than a screw ripping out of the frame or breaking a tab off which more frequently occurs. If you don't crash much or ever, then it is a useless mod, but if you are too frequently checking gravity or attempting to modify the laws of physics with your helicopter, then it is a pretty smart mod.

Looking good. That's some fancy flying, landing on that tree branch like that.
Enjoy your great flying weather ahead... I'm envious.

I can land pretty well anywhere but level on the ground, and I never break the landing gear because it mostly lands on some other part!

All are blades, the extreme canopy tricked you on a mcpx! I buy in pairs to share parts ( just need blade to send me another 130 lol)

In order,

Mcpx- hpo5, mh frame, 120sr tail, xp7 esc, stock green canopy
Mcpx-co5, mh frame, extended stock tail, xp7 esc, extreme canopy
130x- lynx pitch slider/tail case/tail grips/tail rod support, metal a gear, fusuno canopy
300x- blade yellow tail blades, lynx canopy
300x- robird gyro, Hyperion 2208, castle bec, 40a esc, lynx green tail blades, lynx canopy
4503d- beastx, tarot head, turnigy 2221-8, hitec 5084 tail, yep45, fusuno canopy
450x- cy 2221-8, yep45, all hitec servos, fusuno canopy (this is a great setup, fast, responsive, my favorite to fly, just above 130x)
