I also like the upgrades. Ever consider the AL tail case (BLH1663A) and the AL tail blade grips (BLH1670A)? I'm really happy with mine...

Ya, I'm sure I'll end up with them sooner or later. Sucks having the mod bug.

For now, I'm digging the blacked out stealth look... Doesn't seem to effect my orientation either, so I may even paint the aluminum tail black...

Very nice Thomas.

Are those tail fins KBDD ones? I think i need some that colour!

Also - noticed in your pics and the video you posted for servo movement , that your lipo is or has been touching the motor... hope it didn't cost you a lipo :-)

All in one piece , again.

The rubber band on the landing gear is stopping the gear spreading on the hard floor - which caused a violent wobble while I was spooling up to check everything. The blacked out "X" logo is purely because I hate logos on that part of the canopy :-)

The tail will receive its alloy bling when and if it breaks.

Here's mine with Fusuno fins, KBDD tail blades, and the Fusuno 450ex canopy with the Infinite Fire paint job...

Thanks. I'm really impressed with these Fusuno parts, so far. I also got another canopy with the Pineapple paint job.

I bought a frame and some tail fins for my 6HV from them, as well, and they look really good too.

You have one guess...

I flew one battery before I figured it out! Testament to the capabilities of the head and FBL unit.

How did it fly? What felt weird if anything?

It flew mostly fine actually. The collective was much more sensitive but it was the fluttering sound that made me suspicious. The rotor looked a bit weird in flight like the tracking was off so I landed it and checked the tracking on the ground. It was dead on! So I kept flying it and then the timer was up. Landed it again and this time I set down next to it and just took a long zen look at the thing and then I just couldn't believe what I was seeing. LOL I just balanced the blades the night before and between the late night and some beer, one got turned somehow. These suckers should be keyed! Anyhow, I was amazed nothing got destroyed and it flew as well as it did. Cudos to the BeastX! It probably never had to work this hard in it's whole life! LOL I did some hard pitch pumps and the noise it was making was scary every time. I'm sure it would've flown much better if I reversed both blades! LOL Oh well, someone was talking about flipping blade grips? Try this on for a change!

Mine might not be an 450x from the factory. But none the less, mine is a Blade 450 3d. Converted to a 450x and then some!!!! I've kinda went crazy on my mods!!!

So here's all my mods to date

Sookum SK720 FBL controller
Tarot FBL head with the DFC links
Hitec 5056's for cyclic
Hitec 5084 for tail
The whole tail, fins, and both sets of blades are CF and aluminum
T-rex 500 skids
T-rex 450 canopy
Scorpion 2221-6 (not installed yet)
Hobbywing esc (not installed yet)
Hyperion phase sensor (not installed yet)

All I can say about the SK720 is? I love it!!!! It has self-level, that I have as a bail-out switch. But now it is helping me learn inverted flight. Cause the SK has SL for upright and inverted flight. I know it has boosted my confidence level a bunch.

I got the scorpion motor, esc, an phase sensor to be able to run the governor ot the SK. It's gov. is pro-active instead of re-active. Since the gov is controlled by the SK, when you input pitch or cyclic. It will ramp up the motor, befor hand. So there is no motor bog. Plus once I get my DX8. I can program in 3 gov. rpm's to a switch.

I hope you guys like it, an not laugh at it.
