Default Gonna donate for BLHeli

Hate to approach this touchy topic, but I guess I will...

Steffen has put a *ton* of time and effort into BLHeli. It has opened up the doors for brushless tails, and has made it possible to fly a TA-915 down to brushed motor speeds if you want, while retaining all the power. IMO, he's done as much to further our enjoyment of our helis as much as Dylan has.

And he hasn't asked for as much as a dime in return.

I'm gonna be PayPal'ing him a donation.

Something to think about, anyway.

And no, Steffen, you're not allowed to come here and say you don't want our money.

Edit: Here's his PayPal address for your donating convenience: [email protected]

I wanted to when I first flashed my ESC, but he humbly declined.

His hard work has revolutionized this heli, even better than it was when BL conversions where new on the street. With the addition to the BL tail, he keeps upping the ante on what is possible with this airframe.

That's why I put the "no Steffen's allowed" disclaimer in the first post.

This is a great idea! I was thinking the same thing about donation when I ordered my parts. Once I get all my parts and get up and running...

Thanks a lot guys! I really appreciate the warm appreciation you give. Besides giving myself a good treat when flying my own birds, I really love hearing about this giving flying and modding joy to the community. Keep it going and make it better!

Lots of thanks ,
Steffen

Guys that make our hobby as fun as it can be (like Steffen and Dylan) need to know it doesn't go unappreciated. Just glad to hear you guys are joining in!

Just got to the hotel after a long day's work, so PayPal is finally sent!

Thanks again, Steffen!

I certainly hope more have donated to Steffen than have posted in this thread! He has done a great deal of work to let us take our mCPX's beyond the boundries of what the heli ws designed for. We will drain our bank accounts to get every upgraded, supersized item stuffed into this little heli. I would hope we all could chip in to at least buy the guy more than just a couple of beers for all the hard work he has done on our behalf and asked nothing in return.

No worries, please! I really value the donations, and most of all as tokens of appreciation. I guess donation is sort of a way of sharing, I have shared some and donating may be a way of sharing back. But please remember that there are also many other good ways of sharing! Crazy and not so crazy ideas, helping out, laughs, creativity...
