My reviews of the eSky Big Lama for beginners...videos
Beginners look at the eSky Big Lama Part 1 Video
This video is designed for beginners out there looking for a good entry level coaxial 4 channel RC helicopter. 4 channel coaxial's give you a chance to experience/train on basic flight controls, orientation and getting basic flight down. While there are many other great coaxial's out this video and subsequent parts deal with the Big Lama specifically and in no way take away from the others. I just happen to own two and thought of providing the info for beginners out there lurking, reading and researching. This is Part 1 in a series of 3. You can view all my Big Lama flight videos here... http://www.youtube.com/user/thefiredude52/videos Beginners look at the eSky Big Lama Part 2 Video Here is video part 2 in the Beginners look at the eSky Big Lama 4 Ch. Coaxial Helicopter..... Available in high definition is desired... Beginners look at the eSky Big Lama Part 3 Video Here is the final video in the series of Beginners look at the eSky Big Lama 4 Ch. Coaxial Helicopter..... Available in high definition is desired... As well the below link refers to the mods I mention as well as a few others. Personally I've only done the battery shift and the Extended inner shaft mods as I've had no issue with motors over heating. I also stay away from after market blades for the reasons I mentioned in my videos.... Below is a video of my stock eSky Big Lama with the Turnigy 8 light LED nav light set. 2 forward bright landing lights with slow red strobe under front, left solid red nav light, right solid green nav light, upper and lower white strobes and slow red strobe in tail. Sets can be had anywhere from $8-$20 depending on source/vendor. Just Google "Turnigy LED light set" I hope to have a video of a flight at dusk or near dark posted in the next day or so. Lights are very brihgt and make for great night flying. Video is in High Def so choose the highest resolution your computer can handle..... Big Lama flight with Turnigy LED nav lights... Well this video I was able to film a sunrise flight. Breeze was already beginning at about 4 mph so no real flying. We are expecting 30 mph winds today with gusts to 40 so I just wanted to check the lights and their visibility. Quite nice actually with so much light really. My cam just doesn't shoot good video in the dark, but had it up last night in the dark and was pretty cool. This video is best viewed in high def res if your computer/connection can handle it. Nice novelty and addition to the Big Lama. Tested again today and has no apparent affect on flight time or battery drain. eSky Big Lama flight at dusk.... Well finally had a absolute calm evening last night. Grabbed the Big Lama and 2 packs and out the door I went. Finally no upper level winds and was able top get me some altitude. Been a while. Haven't been able to fly a lot and miss my 450 which should be back in the air soon so hey the Big Lama and Trex 100 have kept me sane. Well kinda lol. A couple more weeks and our normal summer weather will be here with little to no winds and temps around 68 or so. By then the 450 will be back in the air. Breeze picked up toward end of last pack, but Got R Done. Between the park yesterday and last evening at least got some fun and flying in with no mishaps. Thought maybe some of the newer beginners out there might enjoy a boring flight lol. My little cam isn't good for low lighting video so it is what it is. It has a mind of its own. Anyway video's are both in Hi Def. Well finally had a absolute calm evening last night. Grabbed the Big Lama and 2 packs and out the door I went. I'll be posting other videos as well pertaining to the eSky Big Lama
