Hi Groni,

like your version of the GoblinTDR. The tailboom looks much better then mine but do not like the SAB logo.
Also the line thickness did not match exactly between the logo part and the rest of the tail.
The color of the skids matches much more the rest of the canopy as at mine version.

Thanks for sharing

Thanks, I didnīt realize that you also made a Goblin. It was more of a freaky idea from me, cause Iīm a big Tareq fan. I know him very good, and we talk much. He also allowed me to share my tareq models to the community. And Iīm a real big fan of the Goblin and just wanted to have some goblin-feeling in Phoenix. Hopefully the Goblin will be available in a future release. Also I hope for the Velocity90 and Fusion 50.

Greetz

Hey Guys,

here is a little preview of my next Project.

Itīs the Velocity 50 with complete new HD textures for the complete Heli.

Itīs almost done and i need only some finetuning.

Too Bad that the model texture mapping is so bad(servos for example), otherwise it could have been more accurate in texturing. But I guess itīs the best to get.

Tell me what you think.

Greetings

Groni

And here is a new Engine Sound for the new Velocity 50.

It also includes a new BladeFlap which sounds very realistic with this sounds.

Just extract the zip to your main phoenix folder.

Just select "Gronimod - Velocity 50"

****File removed cause of an Error*** New Link posted in a new Post.
Enjoy

Groni

Thanks for the new stuff.

I've posted new sound for this model in the past, see https://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=246486

Your sounds will cause conflicts as the WAV file names are the same

Regarding your HD visuals, did you try to create a 2048x2048 scheme for it? Might deliver a better HD version.

Cheers!

Yes, 2048x2048 makes no difference. Phoenix scales it down. I even installed 4096x4096

Oh did you use the same name?? then I will rename them

Thanks for the hint

Thanks

So 2048x2048 is not sharper when the model is closer to you? Should be the case.
Perhaps the difference is better seen with scale models.

Nope. I did a very close zoom on the Editor and changed between the resolutions. Not even a small difference. I always wondered why the textures in the editor was nothing like 4096x4096 . I guess the models have a max texture size to map. If the Texture is bigger, it will be scaled down. But anyway looks much better now in compare with the original Textures

Not sure if there is a difference between Creator and the sim rendering. Did you try it inside the sim? Creator is pretty old compared to PhoenixRC v4.

i tried both. If there is any differnence, then itīs so small that it is almost not noticable. The only difference is the loading time. I tried 1024x1024, 2048x2048, 4096x4096. The grafic quality was almost the same, but the loading time gets longer.

The only visible quality difference are the blades, if you are using higher resolutions.

Ok thanks for testing.
Perhaps you should make a plastic see-through canopy using Alpha. This way all the HD parts can be seen

Cheers!
