lol, no i didnt happen to make 2, i just took a 1/4"x1" peice of aluminum and started shaping it ruffly with a hack saw then i made it rounder using a grinder then for final shaping of the dome shape and the little riser as can be seen in the second picture, with the drill press and files, after all that was done it stayed on the drill press and was sanded with porgesivly finer sand paper and polished with polishing cream. not bad for a 14 year old's machineing skills!

edit: the whole buton is one peice and the raiser was made so the button didnt interfere with the blade grips.

Button looks LOWER than the Align and only concern would be the blade grips hitting the button when you tip the flybar!

I'll do it. just give me about a month to practice autos and i'll give it a try... now just what blades to use, i think i'll use the Align Carbons. i have 2 head buttons coming from them, but i'll use the stock one for that. its already all scratched up

I couldn't stand the plastic head button either so I did basically the same thing but used a mini lathe to cut the aluminum rod to shape, here is a picture of the finished button.
