Default Who went FB to FBL with the Trex 250?Need some help please.

I went FBL with my Trex 250SE and want to know if someone can post the servo specs for my so I know my setup is right..Looking for how many MM the ball should be on the servo are from center of the horn and how many MM's are all the rod links.Im pretty sure mine is right but im having a hell of a time getting the Align 3GX to fly right..Also what % do you have for swash mix?Pit/Aile/Elev in my DX7 are 27/27/27.Just wanna see how close I am to others..

I'm using 2nd outer hole on servos running ds410m's (10.5mm). I tried shorter but it caused the links to be at quite an angle giving an uneven head geometry, and this caused the fbl unit to do some strange things.

Yup,this thing flys like total poop and its a real bummer because I liked how it flew with the flybar..Didn't want too but im building another Trex 250 with a flybar so I can keep screwing with the FBL one.All I need for the one im building is a tail servo and the metal boom brace mount..Once I get the FBL Trex 250 flying right (if I can),i'll take the FB Trex 250 back apart..

Jason,
Well I moved the balls in one hole so they were 10.5mm from center of the servo arm.I also to turn the pods on the 3GX back to 12 o'clock, they were around 9 o'clock and around 10 o'clock I got bobble.
Did a test hover in my back yard and it feels sooo much better but that was only a hover..The issue I was having was during flight ---> It didn't feel locked in during hovering (does now),bobbled and felt funny doing flips/tictocs and would pitch up/down in normal slow forward flight. Its windy as hell right now but im charging a few packs anyways so i'll see how it gos in a min and will post video..If anyone reads this before I go out,can I turn the pitch/cyclic down with the radio if I have too much or do I need to go through DIR again?

Really can't help you with 3gx havent used one since the 2.0 update not sure how different it is. What headspeed you running? One thing i noticed on the 250 is with FBL it likes higher headspeeds, gets very mushy under 4000.

Oh and im assuming you used the shorter balls on the servo? The long ones will hit the servo frame and cause bindig problems.

Just thinking
What swash mode do you have your TX set to? in the first post you mention swash mix %

I run a BeastX which needs a 90' swash setting, doing this means that there is no swash mix % on my DX8, the mix is in the BX, the only adjustment in the TX is endpoints and curves

The 3gx is different to the beastx, it requires you to use a swash mix, unlike most fbl units.
