Default Yet another BL install question

Hey guys, just about to install a flashed xp7a and c05m. Just wondered if I should solder the esc power wires to the 3 in 1 and leave the battery cable where it is or should I move the battery cable directly to the esc? Also wondered if I should switch to a higher gauge wire for the battery wires. Thanks for the help, can't wait to join the brushless club!

Good! You will enjoy brushless definately. It's best to solder the bat wires to the esc directly.
3-1 to esc, esc to battery

I left mine as a "plug and play". I have absolutely no issues with it. You loose some throttle resolution like this, but nothing worth worrying about IMHO. I run a 100% throttle curve. The CO5m is a nice easy flyer with slightly longer flying times.

If you loose the plugs and leave the wires as short as possible it will save you some weigt. Especially on the C05 you will notice the difference. Two or three grams is a lot on a 47 gram heli

Solder it up like this,

Use the power lead that come on the ESC. If it doesn't have leads, use 22 gauge wire. Use 26 gauge wire to hook the power from the ESC to the 3-n-1.

I have one of these oversky 10a pnp with a HP03S, power leads are soldered together, microdeans on the battery end, throttle still pnp.

I got one good flight out of it today, performed great, however, every other time it wants to hover a foot off of the ground. Is there something in the arming sequence for the esc I am missing?
