Default Setting up HC3-SX and DX18

Hi
I've just upgraded from a DX8 to a DX18 and I can't get the recovery function to work on the trainer switch.
I used the same set up as on my DX8, mixes etc., but cant get the switch to work.

Has anyone get this working with a DX18.

Cheers
Phil

Took me a while but I eventually got it working. Here are my settings.

1) Under system settings menu ...... go to Channel Assign .....Channel input config

Change GEAR to D , Aux 2 to A and AUX 3 to I

Under flight mode I changed hold switch to .. switch H

In the main menu .....

2) Servo setup .... choose travel. For GEAR choose what gyro rates you want (I have 50:50) . For AUX 2 change the top number to the amount of horizontal stabilisation you want. I have 30. Leave the lower number at 100 (for rescue)

Servo setup .... choose Abs. Travel. Under AUX 2 make sure the numbers are 2048 and below that 340 (where is normally shows | )

3) Select MIXING ..... create the two mixes below.

AX3>AX2 , Rate 0% 100% , Offset 100% , Trim Inh , Switch Flight Mode , Select for N,1 ad 2. Leave H unselected.

AX2>AX2, Rate 0% -100%, Offset 0%, Trim INH , Switch FLIGHT Mode, Select for H,N,1 and 2.

That should be it ....

Switch D should select gyro

Switch A selects between rigid and horizontal

Bind switch (I) should rescue on horizontal or rigid mode

Obviously check all the settings are working in the HC diagnostic page before you fly.

Recommend you put the bsilout on the gear switch, that bind button can be hard to find in a pinch.

Got my dad to fit an extra rescue switch to the side of the DX18. Just soldered in paralled with the bind switch. Tight to fit, but works well and is easy to reach in an emergency.

Hey guys

Thanks for all the input.
I'll give it a go and see how I get on.

Cheers
