Default OK I killed two servos ds420 and the Jr ds188

OK I killed two servo the ds420 and the ds188. What I'm thinking is happening is that its to low voltage causing them to go out making the motor over work. I am only able to get 8 to 10 flights out of them both before they go to the servo heaven in the sky. It works great when its working. So all I have to say say is the the 130 3n1 don't like these servos for some odd reason. If anyone have a better thought about it chime in .

Be blessed
Isaac

Maybe a voltage regulator is in order. I hate to add extra weight but a small 3s pack connected to a xp-12a and a small regulator feeding 6V to 3-in-1 and tail servo sounds like a good set-up. Can you measure servo voltage output on the 3-in-1?

I recall that you're running a 8000 HP08 with an 11 pinion at 100%.

I tried that and had two stock servo failures within three packs.

Thinking at that RPM there was a resonance at that RPM I turned down the throttle curve a bit and all was OK.

The 8000 with a 10 pinion is good at 100%, but my favorite is the 7600 with an 11 tooth.

Then again... it could be Isaac's flying style!... kidding!

I would think the low voltage makes sense since it's finicky down to 4.8v no?

The 3in1 puts out around 3.75 volts to the servos. But that was a board that what acting funny that I replaced.

Low voltage does burn up windings. Might be the case.

Maybe it's the hp08 + servo the board can not handle.

TNT. Are you running the hp08 off the stock board? If so I wonder is a dedicated esc would resolve this issue.

If the servo can take it you could power directly off the 2s. Just disconnect the postive from the 3-in-1 and verify the ground to the servos is common to the pack (should be). You can also drop down 0.7v by adding a diode, or 1.4v by adding two diodes in series. If that voltage is still to high you can use something like this http://www.dimensionengineering.com/products/parkbec or this http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-RC-3A-U-...item4846d8d595
