If you're not at least glancing at the manual, folks, you should. Excellent work.

About time someone has a well written manual with details... I like the little red and blue colored bottles.

Is that 2000/1800RPM limit warning for real? Or just something the pilots are OK ignoring? Most run 2200 RPM by default with 690 blades these days.

From the manual:
Quote:
- Maximum main rotor speed of 2000 RPM's for 690-710mm rotor blades, and 1800 RPM's for 720mm+ rotor
blades, or maximum specified speed by the rotor blade manufacturer. Failure to maintain these speeds could result
in catastrophic failure of either the aircraft and/or rotor blades which could result in injury or even death!

it says "or by manufacturer spec" of the blades. its just a catch all in case the blades fail at higher headspeed. even the most cheap carbon blades at that size shouldnt fail with those numbers, but we all know the higher quality blades (EDGE, maverick, radix, Vblades) are all capable of the higher rpm with no problem.

+1, it's a disclaimer. The helicopter has been tested at much higher heads speeds.
