The younger Mikado pilot was insane to watch too.
I believe you are talking about Ben Storick from Las Vegas. Unbelievable flights! I know someone has videos of him and Pinion was "in the pocket" as well.

Had a great time here and can't wait for next year.

Thanks so much TORCHS and all the sponsors!

Just got home to foggy and rainy Muncie...thank you to all TORCHS members, volunteers, vendors, sponsors, and of course the rest of my extended heli family, for making this a great, enjoyable event! Now on to sorting through I don't know how many photos....hopefully I'll have a link up to them soon!

i had a great time at the ohb. cant wait till next year. I even went back sunday to fly a little more at 8 am. This was my first show and all I can say is wow. The demo flights were awsome, the nx4 was an impresive machine. I got to meet and talk to bobby and bert so that was cool. I also won a set of rail 606 blades, awsome cause they are just the blades I use on my 600s, thanks to matt for the blades. I told my wife I am now a pilot and have the badge to prove it . I could not belive how many teen age kids were flying 700 machines and realy doing a great job. Thanks to everyone for the set up of this event and special thanks to the torchs crew.

James Cistola
Last year we brought in about 100 pieces of toys for the Toys for Tots. This year with a greater generosity of the pilots we've received over 200 pieces of toys. This will go along way on putting many smiles on the kids this Christmas. Big thanks to you all. We will be posting the Ronald McDonald's house Charity soon as all the numbers are counted up — at The Orlando Helicopter Blowout 2012.

My hats off to Mark walkins are flightline director who stepped up and put our PA system together and stepped up to the microphone and did a fantastic job. Who know he had it in him. Here's a photo of him winning the T Rex 600 two years ago at the mini blowout.

A big thanks to all sponsors, TORCHS staff and attendees. This event was off the hook!
I managed to put in 2 really deep blade scrapes at the very end flight station thanks to Chicken Wing egging me on. I was trying to dig a hole to Taiwan so Bobby could take shorter trips by just diving into the hole at the end of the field. ;-) No helis were harmed during scraping.

A very BIG Thank You to the TORCHS Club for a very well organized event! And a special thank you from "Ally", our white cockatoo parrot who made a lot of new friends at the Blowout.

It was good to see old friends; Gordy Meade, Dave Sellers, Cliff Hiatt, Dan Melnik and others. I haven't been to an R/C Helicopter event since I competed in the 1999 US Nationals in Muncie. My girlfriend (at the time) became the 3rd place US National champion. I didn't do nearly as well competing in the FAI class!

After a 7 year hiatus from flying, it's great to wiggle the sticks again. Still stunned at the level of pilot proficiency I saw over the weekend. Makes me feel like a beginner again.
