Default What did you do to your 130X today?

Just as the title says, a place to post what you did today. I figured, other forums have this thread, why not for the 130?!!

I broke a main blade grip and are waiting for parts. Whilst waiting I have done the quad tail bearing mod and hope the tail runs smoother.

Was flying great with the HP08/10t but I misjudged the height coming from inverted underneaf rather than over the top. Oops. Only damage was the blade grip so I am not complaining.

So I am not the only one. Mine did this just from flying it. That is what ticks me off. And not 1 servo but 2

Got it stuck 40' up in a tree. Had to construct an elaborate 2x4 and PVC siege machine to get it out, but I got it back with NO DAMAGE! Threw another pack through it just to spite the tree! I love this helicopter!

Went through 4 battery packs after work today.

Was practicing half flips, and transitions, really trying to get inverted circuits going.

I can fly inverted just fine, but circuits (circles for example) are really eluding me. Very frustrating. I get caught like a deer in headlights and forget what I learnt on the sim.

The sim is fine and all but will NEVER be like the real thing hehe

I've got two. One is still stock (for now) and flies great, but my hopped up one has an HP08, RKH tail case and MH slider. It flies amazing. I plan to upgrade my stock one to the HP08 and metal tail parts as well, but try to keep it as light as possible.

Try practicing the inverted circuits on the MCPX. That is how I learned the fastest. Learning/practicing inverted circuits on the 130x would be a challenge because the heli can get away from you quickly. The 130x Doesn't crash as well as the MCPX either in my opinion.

Default 130X

Bought the 130x right when it came out. Three flights later it was time to change the plastic A-gear for the metal version. Got about 4 more flights out of 130x before the metal A gear showed up and didn't realize the plastic gear dust accumulating on the A gear now wore a notch into the servo FET. Thankfully the servo still works. New A gear installed, I flew about four more flights before the tail bearings, tail pitch slider bearings, and tail grip bearings developed massive amounts of slop. The heli started to turn 180* kick outs when doing half piro flips or just going inverted. It was then time to order a metal pitch slider and boca bearings. I got so turned off by Microheli $25 shipping charge for a $20 part. I said screw it and let the heli sit on the shelf for the past few months. TODAY I ordered the RKH pitch slider and Boca bearing kit. Going to give the 130x one last chance and see if it flys well. I've only owned one other Blade product ( mcpx v2) and love it. My 130x experience has been disappointing to say the least.

Do the RK tail! Whole tail, slider, grips and tail box, grommet the thing remove o rings and use canopy grommets on the swash and main grips, and also the little orings for tail, thing will fly rock solid! Trust me I know, I have two birds rock solid this way! Kills the mcpx v2 by 1000 miles.
