Thanks for that. I just grabbed a set. Not to rehash the tail servo topic in this thread but what makes the DS36 better than the DS35?

Is there a part number for an adapter to connect the DS76T plug to the 130X board to test things out before committing to swapping the plug?

If you have any bad 130X servo...

You can use any regular servo wire to make a test adapter without cutting up the DS76T wires
RoboHeli and Mrowka like this.

Assuming you meant the DS76T...

The DS76T is a 450-size servo...

1) Much stronger
2) Without the issues of DS35 V2

I have now swapped the DS76T into 14 130X's without a hitch

A much better option without the stock servo twitching

My laptop blocks the microheli web site due to it "phishing", so I don't go there.

Took my 130X’s off the shelf for some Spring flying. All 3 flew perfectly after their winter break. Looking forward to maybe nailing down piro flips this year!

I use these on most of my 130x's. Works good on the cyclics too.

FWIW, MH 130X cyclical servos are rebadged Blue Arrows with a different plug.

I mocked up parts (again) on the 3S 130X I am building and realized that I am going to have to do something about the A/B gear mesh. Also, I realized why the main gear and pinion gear don't mesh so good - the main shaft is tilted ever so slightly so that it isn't quite perpendicular to the frame or the motor pinion.

Not sure how to fix that.

Also, my eleven year old has graduated from her little Blade 70S to a Nano CPS in SAFE mode. Her little brother is trying to learn to fly an Inductrix.

Its not working great for me, its flyable but not happy. Shame because at the price its certainly attractive.

The vid shows the wag and the mechanical nature of the tail as it turns. I have upped and lowered gyro gain, increased and lowered mechanical gain but to no avail, this is the best it gets.

Initially the vid was a parody on a post in the main thread about vbar being smooth but hey I ran out of skill

Bit of flipping at the end, as I say flyable but not happy.

A lot of people like the D03013 Blue Arrow as a tail servo.

I've never installed one as a tail servo, but for a few dollars more, you can get a DS76T, which is, like, the Greek god of 130X tail servos.

From your mouth, to Mr. Blade's ears.

Although, thinking it over, the 130X already is great. We just need to convince its creator to recognize this.
