@ Dennis

What blades, headspeed and gearing are you planning on running? Are you planning a tail speed up or is it not needed?

Ok I was just wanting to see what others that had been flying the stretch for some time where running and how they liked it. My Rush got about 140 flights last year with 716s and 115 on it with a Savox 5065 -500kv . Now it has been stretched and is getting a Hacker A50-450kv V3 and the Align spur and auto gear have been installed to bump the tail up to 4.73 ratio . Blades for now will be the Align 780s and RotorTech 115 tails with KDE boom supports , I have been running the KDE boom support clamp with the liner in it for most of its flying to this point . I also installed the new spindle with the nylock nuts and lubed the thrusts. This heli has Tonys tray and radius links installed and had proven to be a very solid heli .It will be getting a new set of OMG H4 servos this time around . The heli will be flown at a max of 1800 and probably down to 1550 or so for now. I found my heli with the 716s on it wobbled at 1700 but was good at 1750 and below around 1630 so we shall see what it does with the 780 blades. So now it is ready to put the gear in

Very interesting Dennis. Can you post some links to the parts. Or at least part numbers. I found them I think but I want to be sure.

Did you have to move the boom blocks forward to adjust the auto gear mesh?

Hello Michael the parts are the newer 700 and 800 Trex Pro gears .
H70G001AXT and H7-G007XX . I had to slot the transmission holes about 1mm back to get some backlash . The gears all fit but there is zero backlash and they are tight so it took a bit to get the presser off and a bit more for the required backlash . I used a small round saw file to slowly work them back . So now back is the new gears forward would be stock gears . This is the way Synergy does there optional tail gearing .I never did anything with the boom clamp mount as it is fine. Feel free to ask anything as my explanation's can be The gearing is what held me back from the stretch as I like more moderate headspeeds .
Take care

Cool stuff Dennis. Nice and simple. I have had good luck with the stock ratio but I do tend to see the tail struggle when I fly down around 1650-1700. I want to try 1300-1400 but my esc freaks out when I drop the th curve that low. I may have to run 12s to try that.

I am flying the stretch. I only sport fly, but never had any troubles. Running 1950-2000 headspeed.

Glad to see your Rush out at the field Kevin and you are enjoying the stretch .The tail holds fine at the higher rpms but I find anything below about 1750 with 115 tailblades I can start to loose the tail in faster backwards stuff , funnels ect . Also on faster collective reversal I cannot get a good hold on the tail unless I am up some in rpm. My problem is I like the lower rpm stuff (not really low) and I like the backwards and sideways stuff . With this addiction I know doing the stretch I need to speed up the tail some to be happy . The Align 800 with the 4.73 ratio does well in the rpm range I am looking at and it just so happens the gears fit easily so it was a no brainer to give it a try as I really like the Rush .

Dennis here is my Stretch Evolution.
I am having a problem with the lower bearing in the main shaft. For one reason the blue loctite isn't enough to keep the screws in place and today this plate came out and I was lucky that I did not crash the heli, it started to vibrate very bad.
I am posting the pictures in that way you know what I am talking about it.
My surprise is that you do not have that plate in your helicopter. Did you have that problem or you heli did not come with it.
Also I would like to know if you have this plate for sale.
I wanted to post the pictures, but I could not figure out how to do it here in HF.

I finally got my Rush back in the air as an 800 with the speed up tail modification and all new electronics. I was very windy today but I was ready so out she went. So far all I can say is it felt good and ran smooth . I put in a quick 5 minute flight with a few circuits and some approach's and a few flips to inverted. Hard to tell what the setup will need in such a strong wind but it felt good so far. The tail is much stronger now at the lower rpm's !! take care

That wingspan looks significantly bigger just in the pictures, looking forward to seeing the project fly.
