Default Align 325D Pro Blades for 450X?

Picked up a set of Align 325D Pro CF Blades for cheap to use on my Blade 450X.
First thing I noticed is the length is not the same. The Align Blades are a bit shorter. How will this affect flight characteristics?

Next question: I dont think these blades are specifically for a flybarless heli. Will this change the flight characteristics also.

Need input!! Thanks HeliFreaks!!

I'm flying mavrikks since I Broke my stockers and had a set laying around flying fine too. Just can't clost them to put the foam thingy on because of the way they are shaped. That's the only complaint.

There are many other threads about the 450X blades, you'll get a lot of info and suggestions. Just search.

Yes, the stock blades and the Revolution are classified as 325 but are actually 335. As far as I know all the others are actually 325. The difference is normally described as having less 'pop' compared to the stockers.

Hi Shawn

I got sick of paying $50 for the Blade CF's, so ordered 2 x stets of the Align 3D blades for the price of one set of Blade CF's (based on another post I read). I have to say, the Align blades were easy to balance and ran true with no need for tracking adjustments. I find the Blade stock CF's on the 300 & 400 harder to set up. Anyway, the Align's felt nice and smooth. And for mine, flew pretty much like the stocks. Now I'm not a 3D freak, but i bang it about plenty and they lapped it up. They aren't the same length as the stocks, so I sure there's some lift loss in there, but you won't be disappointed IMHO. They are also just slightly more flexible than the stocks. Slightly. And white is better..

Cheers

They are cheap, they fly great and they are clearly stronger and more resiliant than the stock blades.

Little less pop (just a little) but they are very snappy snd accurate.

My fav blade as they also make crashes much less painful (they frequently survive too!).

^What he said! I have been flying the Align 3G blades on mine since day one. The last set I had (until I wrote them off last night) survived a couple drops onto grass, an inverted auto onto concrete and a couple light crashes onto concrete.

Wow $50 is too much. They are sold for about $34 everywhere I've seen.

Hi Brian

In Oz we get ripped. $50 a pair (450). Mainshafts for the 300X $28(2). I've stopped flying my 450X until i can afford to sort some weaker aspects of the design (plastic servos)

And Brian? What is the Blade 300X Aluminium Hop up swash exactly?. It is not fit for sale with short balls and thick unshaped arms - links pop off. How can you do that, not fair?

And please don't put DS76's on the 500X - I'll cry )

My whinge for the day, otherwise great job.

Cheers

I really do love my heli's.

37 EUR in Italy = 47 USD

And no way to find the gears for the stock servos (EFLRDS761) in whole Europe, AFAIK: if you strip them, whole servo replace (and of course soon metal geared ones)

We Aussies have import the blade 335's so whilst you can get them for $34, you play $30 shipping so even 3 sets still work out to $44.

Plus, they are much too weak.

They delaminate extremely easily and snap where other blades frequently come through with grass stains.

When someone produces an Align 335 style/quality blade for $20 they will corner the market.

For what its worth I fly these.
My style is fast smooth aerobatics, no problems at all. I'm saving the OEM's for when I get really good (not any time soon!)

After an esc failure crash I could only find align 325 carbon yellow blades. Flew them today after the rebuild and I will say they suck. Way less pop, way more noise, and they seemed to bog and suck my batteries a lot faster.
Going to toss them in the trash and get the oem blades.

Those are the wrong Align blades for this heli!

You want the Align 3G blades.

He may have just not known the difference either. Not all LHS's have a good heli specialist who understands helis beyond selling factory parts looked up from the manual.
