Default RESCUE: simple JR 9503 wiring modification

i use a 9503

if there is another post on this, i could not find it

I am going to switch the wiring, that is:

hook the momentary contact button to where the gear switch is connected, and hook the gear switch to where the momentary contact button is connected, leaving the two switches in their current locations

with the right mix, the result will be that the momentary contact button will activate captain rescue

the mix is gear to aux2, for my setup used a curve mix with all points on the curve set to -100 when the 'gear button' is held down

and flipping the gear switch on and off will stop/start the timer (which is what the momentary contact button does now

yes, i know... the trainer functionality will now be the old gear switch and i dont care.

and i have the aux 2 switch mixed to provide 0, +17 and (for now) +25 on the aux2 channel, which will give me no self level, mild self level, and stronger self level (used a curve mix for that)

no matter what this aux2 switch is set to, holding the button down will give me excess of -100 on the aux2 channel, for rescue

problem solved. I just opened the case and used a meter to me sure that this will work.

they are both SPST switches....

happy about this!!!!!

I have the same on my DSX9 except I recently just soldered the timer switch to the gear switch. Both switches now do the same.

My AUX2 switch has a mix the same as yours.

Yes, but I like to be able to still turn the timer on and off, since the 9530 can start the timer with throttle on, but shutting the throttle back does not stop the timer, only the trainer button... ( now the gear switch)

I just use the button on the front to start/stop the timer.

Please tell us how you found this to work in real life flipping the Gear switch with your left hand (are you a lefty?).
Would you mind showing us a picture of your wiring changes inside the 9503?
Is the "momentary contact button" the Trainer switch?
