It's a full range receiver, sats are recommended with 500 class helis.

Good to know, then I'll save mine for when I'll build a 500+!

Jokes apart, I thought it would be safer due to the CF frame and... if I'm not wrong in the Setup thread it was strongly suggested. And pictures from BarnStormer show one (even if that's probably due to the FBL being an Ikon, correct?)

Just as long as he wraps the long antenna around to the other side.

Why so heavy?
It's a bit off of a light heli...
My 450 is 940 grams...

When you sit it next to a 450 you will understand ... everything about this bird is beefier including the 6mm solid mainshaft (which alone probably accounts for a good little chunk of the increased weight).

~14% more weight on a rotor disc that is ~18% larger is a bit of an improvement, and may even be one of the reasons why this helicopter feels like it flies larger than it is.

I'm just speculating here ... mine is just one of many.

Beefy is good
As the AUW in the manual is 920-1030, i'm planning to stay in the middle of that.
We'll see
