Lol! That is exactly how I ended up doing the 1st moves on my 450x.
I had been practicing on my 130x but was so afraid to try anything on my bigger heli.
All it took was my GF giving me a few jeers and now it's the only heli I really love to do tricks on. I've been flying for 4 years now but just started doing flips/rolls for a few weeks.. so I have a long way to go to catch up with you guys.

I also like watching yours gstoneberg. The slower moves makes it easier to see the transitions and gives me ideas on what I can try next.

Great vids, keep em coming.

Not slow but graceful!
So much of 3D flying looks like an epileptic dragonfly.
Think 'ol time' break dancing compared to figure skating; one demonstrated skill and aggression but the other is so much better to watch.
Ol' farts still got it.

Thanks Ted!

I flew again today and made a video of the first flight. The landing, in particular, was pretty poor. But, I didn't break anything so it wasn't too bad. Still working to try and keep piro flips in the same part of the sky.

Haven't flown the 450 in 3 months. First flight after throwing on some savox 0257mg cyclic servos.

Good stuff. You might have to take the "4 sale" sign off of it afterall.

lol, forgot it was there. This is actually my second 450x. I have to put the scorpion motor on it soon. It feels like its going in slow motion compared to my old one.

Nice, Philip! Are you still running the straight gear, or have you switched to the slant?

Very nice! I especially liked that low headspeed section.

Man, if that is STARTING to get control, I've got a LONG journey ahead of me!
Nice flying, especially considering the congested area.

My friend Salomon helped me get a new perspective of one of my flights last weekend from his Phantom. It was a lot of fun, and it turned out better than I thought it might given my sloppy flying. I think we'll do it again for sure. I may need to get a better video editor though.

I hate to post after Mr. Chandler, but I got a very windy flight in today. What made this flight special is that I had just maidened my Trex550. What a difference that made in my 450x flight. If I had the guts I would have included parts from the first flight from before the maiden where the wind had me completely spooked. After flying the much larger heli, suddenly the 450x wasn't my big helicopter any longer and the nerves that usually plague me were oddly gone. Also interestingly, the wind was no longer a factor. I did made a couple mistakes, one very low, and was very fortunate to not plant the thing. A lot of fun to fly with less stress for a change. The 550, on the other hand, makes my knees knock for sure. LOL.

450x flight 12-15-14 (3 min 31 sec)
