I want a DX6 quality and capability transmitter in a package 1/4 the size of the DX6 for travel.
I am sitting in Yakima, WA today until I start work at 1730. This would be a perfect day for micro RC. I am unwilling to pack more than would fit in a slim brief case meaning no full size helicopters or transmitters. I think a rugged case, nano cpx, batteries, nano sized quick parallel charger, and travel sized transmitter would do very nicely. It would be a challenge for HH to get the ergonomics right. It might need collapsible grips and extendable sticks. It would not need more than park flier range. |

The devo 7e has a compact size, and it's dsmx compatible when flashed with deviationtx.

I'd like to see them refund everyone who bought a Blade CP back in the day.

I'd rather see a Nano CPX v2 than a 500. I have trouble seeing anyone walk past a Goblin, Agile or Align box to pick up and pay for a Blade 500. I'm sure Blade knows this.

Yup, and that's exactly why they did a premature cut and run with the Pro Series instead of sticking with it and seeing things through over a 3-5 year business plan.

I don't know the specifics of why Blade decided to discontinue the Pro series, but they must have taken a major loss in revenue as a result.

Quite the opposite. Blade (i.e. the Horizon investor group that bought them out/took over at the beginning of last year) dropped the Pro Series because it wasn't generating enough revenue. If it were generating "major revenue", those helis would still be around unless they truly really, really are horrible at business and I don't think they are. Investor groups usually live for nothing other than profit at the expense of everything else and will drive a company into the ground only to sell off the remains, including the name, at fire sale prices. Crap like that is how good, long standing American made products like Craftsman tools end up being junk produced in China. It's the way of the world...

I hope you are not suggesting that Blade helis are made in America

I was just illustrating a point with what investor groups do to companies after they do a buyout/takeover and the worst that can happen. That's what happened with Sears/Craftsman. But, Horizon is still an American owned company headquartered in the mid-west...for now... Company headquarters location != manufacturing location. |

Still waiting for my 90 CFX, which would be a CP 2S sub-micro with carbon fiber frame, 90 mm main blades, brushless outrunner main motor, small brushless outrunner tail motor, FBL with piro comp & decent tail rotor damping & plenty of PID/gain adjustability range via USB connection, with tail gain TX adjustable, and correct AR geometry on swash! I would be willing to pay for a BNF with these features.

Yep, my CF frame lasted all of one crash. I bought the whole Microheli package for mine and most of it is in the parts bin. Swash, rotor hub, and grips I would recommend to anyone frame and landing gear, not so much.

Ok, I would settle for a plastic frame if Blade can give us all the other features mentioned! Really just seeking a sub-micro that flies as well as a 180 CFX. I had become so frustrated with the crazy quirks of my mCPX BL and nano CPs that I was flying quads exclusively for a while. The 180 CFX brought me back to helis, but it's just a little too big for indoor flight when the weather is bad (in the room I have available).
