Default Neo and Jeti, few more questions

Hello

I am transferring from Futaba to Jeti radio. In the Vbar setup software, what do I select for Rx type? I do not see Jeti. I am using Ex-Bus. Thanks Jeff

You need to use UDI. You will need to set the receiver to UDI as well

Yes there is an option to set the outputs of E1 and E2. You can use EX Bus on one and UDI on the other. But you will need to connect the VBar to the UDI output.

These can be setup by going into Device Explorer

Does the UDI connection to the Neo work the same way as Ex-bus? Meaning only one wire is needed from the receiver UDI port to the Neo.

Yes exactly the same.

No, I believe 17 should be the output period. Some have reported issues making it shorter. You shouldn’t feel a difference in any case and better be safe.

I am all set except for a couple of questions.......I have set up many Neos but with my Futaba radio, never Jeti.

Few questions, I am using Rex 7 receiver with UDI selected.

1) Can I set my throttle channel to Aux 3 like I did for my Futaba radio?
2) When you set throttle channel to aux 3 in Futaba radio it eliminates the throttle curves completely from setup. I use internal Hobbywing governor so using banks, I send three separate flat values to the ESC for Governor HS changes using the vstabi software. Is this the same method for the Jeti? I have searched forum and have not been able to find this.

I would like to know how to handle throttle curves using the Neo and the Jeti
I realize that just like my 18SZ, I must assign throttle channel to a switch, for motor on and off, but from there is where I need help. Thank you Jeff

You have two choices, one is to use the Jeti to handle throttle via TC in the radio, here you set throttle to AUX3 on the Neo and all will be done the old school way. ESC plugs into AUX 3 port. Just need a MOTOR RUN switch to tell the control loop when motor is in RUN mode, so assign any channel to motor switch and program it to a 3 position switch.

Second choice is to let the Neo handle the throttle and none of the TCs in your radio can be used. This is the preferred way as the MOTOR switch is now active for safety and controlling your motor. RPM will be bank specific and you set the throttle output via the software of the Neo. ESC then plugs in ESC port.
