Default suggestion for best blades for 600e

I am looking for suggestions for the best fit for blades for a 600e that I am setting up for AP. I would like good stable lift etc etc

I have had a look at the TST V blades and have sent them an email with a similar question without reply

Thanks

BTW, I'm using NHP razor 620 pros on 10s
I want to try the Radix also because of its ultra wide chord.

Why wouldn't you use flat bottom semi-symetrical blades for AP? The shape gives better lift when upright. Just don't go inverted with them .

Balloons in the wind. a slight gust will pop the heli up, and if the wind dies, it will fall out of the air. I do have semi symms, but only use them when its really calm, or steady wind.
AND, just try finding flat or even semi symm blades in 600-620mm size

bullaculla, Good info. I didn't know about the ballooning issue with semi-symetrical blades.

If you really need more lift, I got my semi symms from heli world. the rotortech 610s.
Also, they will pull less amps in a hover compared to symmetrical blades.
they are very nice! I even use them to fly sport sometime with my play 600. can hover inverted no problem

If you hover at +5 pitch with semi-symetrical blades, where do you think you hover inverted (-7 or maybe more)? I wonder how much pitch it takes to make up for the flat bottom when inverted.

Thanks guys that is some great info. I am glad to see that there are some people using the 600e for 'Ariel Photography'
I would also be interested in the motor gearing setup that is used.

thanks

Not sure, but the semi symms are so close to symmetrical that its hard to tell the difference in profile between top and bottom. I dont think there are any flat bottom blades for anything larger than a 450. and actually, the semis create so much lift at high HS that a stock trex600 can hover at 2-3 degrees pitch.

Actually, there are quite a few people using totally stock trex600s for AP. you should check out our AP section.

I run 600mm Radix on main and 95mm radix on the thrusted tail. Helical spur & 11 tooth pinion. Stock 1650kv motor, Stock ESC, Flightpower 6S 4900's & 5000's. Works great for AP & when I take off the camera mount they perform well for play.

That pic is old. You should see it now
Looks pretty much the same, but I did some high vis mods, and it has the tango and new light swash, plus the X9303
Now that I have more channels, i have my AP2000i dialed in and have a slider for gain adjustment.

Also, I have all the parts to stretch to 690s, and that will get the power jazz

Hitchingbar, I never get an answer from anyone except xtrema who made my charger/wattmeter. Super service. The Online Hobby Stores don't care if we have a question.......take it down the road is the attitude!

Unless you want to take sky photos, you really don't need to go inverted.. LOL

I'm hesitating between the semi symmetrical Rotortech 610 mm (CN266175C) and the semi symmetrical from Carbon Tech 610 mm H6175C. Bird is Thunder Tiger E-620.

Any ideas more than welcome.

Happy flying.
