Yeah, very nice flying, but it looks and sounds heavy. What battery was that with.

Thanks. What you can't tell by the video is that it's covering ground very fast.

It was an old, well worn 3800 Mah pack. It's not a heavy model and certainly doesn't fly heavy. It has forced me to be more gentle with the collective because it moves so quick. I have some new Scorpion 3300 Mah 65c packs I'll be using and with those, it feels like it's all motor.. Like a V8 in a honda civic

That's interesting, thanks. I guess using 465mm over the 425mm makes quite a difference.

Can you please post the weight of your X4 II without the battery.

Ya the 465 blades make a difference for sure!

All I have are 500g scales and the one my wife weighs herself on daily. The X4 won't register on either. May be a couple days, but I'll try to get a scale from work to use.

Thanks!

Yeah, I have to revert to the digital kitchen scales, with a table mat on it, when I get to heavier weights, like a whole heli. I think that one goes to 5kg.

Saw this on YT so I thought I'd post it...killer flying by a crazy Spaniard! I honestly have no idea how it survived the flight but it looks like it actually tips over at the last second on landing.

So, in your mind, is the X4 II one that you'll keep for the duration?

I'm getting to the point where it's time for me to move up to a 500 to 550 sized Heli; main point for me is the 1 Lipo rule and that being cost. 600 sized Heli's and up, the costs ramp up too rich for my blood.

One request if it's possible...any chance of posting a photo or two of the X5 and X4 II side-by-side?

Not that I'm rich or anything, still have to sell a bunch of Walkera, BLADE, and some un-built/built 450 kits, but that GAUI X5 Formula kit has me wanting to hit the order button as well.

GAUI has truly revamped their Heli line-up and if the parts stay on point, I'll Definitely be a GAUI fan.

Thank you very much!

If I could only have one of them, it would be the X4II. Reason, cool looking, great size, it's powerful, flies very stable, easy to work on and access stuff and can take a wide variety of 6S packs. If I wanna just tool around for 6-7 min I can throw in a 5000. If I want a ballistic 3:30-4 min, a 3300 fits the bill wonderfully. I couldn't be happier!

So you would pick the X4II over the X5? Even the 12S X5?

I have to admit being rather surprised as whilst the X4II looks to fly very well, it also looks (from plenty of YT video) to fly alot heavier than the X5; even the 12S X5 (which TBH is only a couple of hundred grams more than the stock X5).

A 5000 lipo equipped X4II is prob as much as a 2200 loaded 12S X5 and the performance difference would be quite marked.

I personally found the 6S X5 required high end lipos to get enough performance out of it on 520mm blades (beating on it bogged it a little too easily) but on 12S the thing is brutal even with cheap lipos.
