Default Align DS655 or Futaba S9254 for 500 tail servo?

I have ordered a new DS655 for my new Goblin 500 tail servo but found a Futaba S9254 tail servo in my heli parts box from another build....?
From memory it can only run on 4.8v and should i run my align servos at 6v..?

Futaba themselves recommends running it at 4.8v. Others claim they run it at 6v but I follow manufacturer recommendations. They should know their product best.

The Align is a good servo and performs great in my EFL. It can be run at 6v.

A 9254 on a 500 @ 6V REGULATED will last eons. I run my futaba tails at 6V. Remember, a 6V battery will put out arounf 7V fully charged, a 4.8 will be around 5.8 - 5.9 volts - so a 9254, 9257, and 9256 all are rated up to 5.9 volts max. So as long as you're not using a 5 cell Nicad or NiMH pack 6 volts is okay. Plus, the 500 does not strain the servo motor that much.
