I've rewrited my Java solution to C# and comiled to an executable.

Operation of program is similar to CyCrow's DDS decryptor (put decrypted files to the 'out' directory) but algorithm is defferent.
It can 'decrypt' or deobfuscate every DDS,BMP...etc PhoenixRC obfuscated file.

Usage:
Just run in that directory which contain original files and check the 'out' directory for restored files.

Regards,
Seaky

How difficult would it be to create a Gaui 500? Can you simply modify and existing model?

Thanks Guys,
I used a photo of my Trex600E. The result were ok, but there were a few anomalies.

I erased the text because I couldn't work out how to mirror it in PS (new to PS)
The other errors you can see in the image of the choppers right side.
Any tips would be appreciated.

Cheers

Thats mirrored from other side too Bigglesworth. Actually its flip horizontally (in original version, yhis part of word "ALIGN"), so if you want to solve this, you got to change the look in other side. Try to use some block color, not a gradien one (in bottom side of canopy). I hope you understand what i meant, sorry for my bad english.

Cheers.

Just take a photo from the leftside of the canopy.
Go to the image pulldown menu, select rotate canvas, select flip horizontal.
Cut-out what you need, paste on a new layer in your Phoenix template, use free-transform (ctrl-T) to make it fit.
And once finished finetuning save as BMP.
Hope this helps.

Eric

The problem with the T-Rex 600 is one side is not fully mapped it is mirrored only certain areas have the mesh mapped for the align logo and on front of the nose. This is a shame because you cannot do a proper job of it unless you have a colour scheme that has a symmetrical paint job with no text etc.

To be honest I think it would be good if Phoenix could remapped it like the majority of the other birds so we can have a unique left and right side.

However I suspect when their new paint package is released these problems will have to be addressed anyway or the paint package will not work correctly. I will put money on a re-release of the 600 (and 450) with a full left and right side image maps.

If I knew what package they were modelled in I would do it now for you but unfortunately I do not know the 3D format.

Cheers
Glenn

The package they model in is not really relevant,
I'm pretty sure they use one of the more popular Apps, like 3Dsmax for instance....
Its the import/export script we need, and in this scripts there are probably also other nice features to name objects and define physics helpers etc....
They definitely will not release that
They probably will release a standalone program where you can import a well known standard 3D format.
So you can use the export function in any 3D program you like to use.
Adding Physics helpers, model parameters etc. will be implemented in that future release of the stand alone Dev.pack i guess.

It's only a guess though

Eric

Thanks for the reply - I have PM'd seaky asking advice.

So far I have a dark grey coloured Augusta A109...
And have managed to get it in the model list, but when I select it, I get an error.
"Error opening aircraft - you may need to re-download this model from Phoenix website.."

So we are close...
