Default Vbar Lockout Issue (embarassing)

Hi,

Confused and slightly embarassed.! I finally got my logo 600sx set up perfectly and I am (was) very pleased. I was in the setup menu under "collective travel" and accidentally typed in 0 and hit enter. As soon as this happened the portion of the page I would re enter the number value has vanished and won't let me plug in my collective travel number. It is locked at ZERO pitch. Since this happened I also noticed the "Collective Direction" tab just has a big red check mark on the page and wont let me edit that menu either.I restarted the software and it did not fix the issue. Really confused on what to do. The only thing I have not tried is a "cold-restart" but I doubt that would help. Am I looking at doing a whole new set up now?

If anyone has ever experienced this please let me know how to fix this problem.

Kind regards,

Tom

Default Vbar Lockout Issue (embarassing)

I have done this too. Ended up doing the whole setup again. Thankfully everything was correctly done mechanically so it did not take a too long time.
However, it was a friend's helicopter, so it was kind of emberassing!

So I guess there is no getting around it....I will have to redo the whole set up. Really wish there was an easier way.

Can you edit the save file XML?

You'd need to take some working setup, save the file, twiddle the collective range param, save again, and thereby know which slot in the XML file it fits into.

Then just copy one of the known good values into your broken save file and off you go.

I haven't saved any files in vbar at all so I think im hooped. I'm just upset because I finally figured out Bank switching, got it set up for each headspeed linked to the respective bank, then made the goofball move of entering zero. Now I have to re-do everything.... and of course its 30 degrees...zero wind and I'm finished work early..
damn

I once had something similar happen to a value and found if I connected via BT to my tablet and the Android app I was able to enter the proper values and all turned out well without going through a new setup.
Not sure if that's an option for you but if it is give it a try.

Once you've done the setup already until the step you are, or the whole thing even, redoing it takes you maybe 5-10 minutes. If mechanically correct, most of it is is just continue, continue
