Default Radix Blades question? Help please.

Hi,

I have brand new 600mm Radix blades ready to be installed on my T-rex 600 E. I have the Metal blade grip upgrade. My question is how do i mount the blades, i recieved 4 big round washers with the blades within the radix box, do i have to use them? The blades seem to be fitting into the grips just perfect without the washers, though will the holes get torn if i do not use the washers? I'll have to use a bit of effort to fit the blades with the washers, don't want to strecth the grips though using the washers, how should i do this? There were no instructions with the blades.

I will really appreciate any help, the heli is so almost ready to fly

Thanks

No washers are required for use with the 600. They are for helis with 14mm wide grips.

Folding them is fine - your grips shouldn't be done up super tight - just stiff

Curious, does it wear out the plastic in the locknut and get easier to turn.

Nope. Just a quater turn wont hurt.
But I usually take off the blades completly while traveling. I keep 2 new sets of blade bolts in my blade case just in case.

What do you do with your flybar? This is my biggest PITA. Always out there to snag on something or I bump it against my leg. Can't wait to go flybarless.

Thanks Can one test the T-rex 600 blades like the 450 ie. turn the heli on it's side and the blades should not fall under it's own gravity, will that be the "ideal" stiffnes for the blades when tightened?

Growler Hi, yip i'm here....... in the randburg area, and you? I also have a 450 and fly at the sports field every now and then.
But i mostly fly E-planes there.

Yep, thats how i used to check it, but after awhile you just know when its tight enough. I still spend extra time to make sure they are both the same tightness tho.

Default Hi sky-t, we use 600 Radix blades also for Alon's Trex600e...

we also use 10S Thunder power batteries.
the heli is so strong.
much more than any other 90 nitro heli.
the radix works just fine, and spins more than 2300 rpm.

we are about to try the 600 "Stick Bangers".

any way, you dont need to use the washers.

Best Regards,
Alon & Nadav Barak.
