I'm flying CYs 2200 lipos and get 4:30 on them with easy & smooth 3D and fast forward flying, leaving ~ 20% left.

For me my 2200mah 4s thor 35c thor pack will get 4 mins if I am easy but if I start flipping trying aileron tic tocs/ rainbows with piro flips in the mix then its a good idea to come down at 3.5 min.

I would also be interested to here what other larger packs fit in this bird and yet can still get the 3D performance out of it. I wouldnt mind longer flight times as long as the flights were similar in performance and the batteries didnt cost alot more.

Nice flying.

I finally just test flew mine today and everything seems good to go. I was trying a death spiral in 20mph gusty winds and it didnt work out for me. two shafts, one boom and a belt and its all fixed.

When placing the balls on the servo arms Curtis said to use the second hole. I am second guessing myself, is it the second hole from the center or counting from the outer edge?
Thanks, John

For those running 6s. Are you using a separate BEC? If so where are you plugging it in? The receiver or the control unit?

Thanks,

John

I had not used a separate BEC...Had the ESC connected per the "external RX" config' like they show in the vids.

I sent a message to stingray support asking if I can use the stock ESC and more importantly the BEC in the ESC on 6s. Curtis replied saying he is using a 6s set up on one of his machines and has had no problems with the ESC or the internal BEC.

Thanks,
John

The Stingray is not discontinued. Curtis gave the whole production to droneshelis.com in Hongkong.
It needed a while for the Stingray community to be informed.
Now it seems to work well. I ordered parts 2 weeks ago and they arrived within 5 days at my doorstep. Was even a Sunday delivery. Impressive.

Question Question?

Did you place a huge order and that's the reason behind such quick shipping???
