Default ix12 mixes

Hello,
First of all, I would like to thank everyone for the BD3SX/DX8 thread/tips/tutorials and the all the SPM file stickies.Oh, the explanations re Spektrum mixes (..which my tech deficient brain still cannot fully compute ) Shout outs to rhodesengr, FastRunner, ArchmageAU, Seasick78, DEMONjoe, and all members helping other members through their posts.

That said, I just purchased an ix12 (still waiting or delivery, though) as an upgrade to my DX8 Gen1 radio. May I know if the mixes in post #1 work in the ix12? Thanks

Other than actually trying it myself as I don't have an IX12, I would say yes. Spektrum's Mix syntax has not changed in sometime.

You can easily verify by simply trying the mixes and looking at first the IX12 servo monitor screen and then the BD Diagnose screen.

I also recommend you look later in the thread for the mixes that deactivate the cyclic while Rescue is activated. They are a really good idea.

P-mix 3: AIL > AIL -100% -100% 0% SW I logic 0 white I dark
P-mix 4 ELE > ELE -100% -100% 0% SW I logic 0 white I dark

Shane posted these if the DX9 thread but I am reposting them here so they are in the sticky.

They effectively center the cyclic during rescue even if you forget to let go of the stick.

Is this it?

yes. In a true panic/rescue situation it is highly possible that you will not let go of the cyclic stick in which case you will get weird Rescue outcomes.

Note that some FBL controllers (BeastX for example) have cyclic deactivation as a setup option.

Thanks again.
Hoping to transfer all my models from dx81 to ix12 with little or no hiccups when I get it. Let you know.

I found the iX12 interface and mixing options very easy and quiet intuitive to setup for SL and Rescue in comparison to my Gen1 DX8 it replaced. If your hoping to use previous Gen 1 DX8 models (or even mixes) in your iX12 you will be disappointed as it is not possible.
When you are setting up your new Models you will see there is quiet a difference in the way each do the mixing. The iX12 is much the same as the Gen2 DX range using Airware 2 however actually more like the DX18 in many ways with some pretty advanced options available for use.

PM me if your having any issues and I'll shoot you the mixes I came up with. I'm using the 3SX unit here not Axon however imagine still relevant for this area of control however as I've never looked into programming the Axon , could be incorrect !

I like to mix-out the Cyclic input during Rescue despite the controller being set to do it for me. I guess it's just a second layer or redundant backup option I know is there when required !
