I have a couple of XT60's with 10G cable. It takes a bit of work but the results are good. You have to use a generous amount of solder and generous size heat shrink and shrink it a bit, so it fits all the way into the plug, before shrinking it completely.

All of my bigger helis, from 550 up, use the XT90. Originally I was using EC5 on these, but changed them all over to the XT90.

I can understand why Trexwilly wouldn't want to change plugs with that collection of batteries. I'm probably getting close to that many myself, and I wouldn't want to change now.

damn, you've got me thinking... I have 6 1350 3s packs for my 300x's....

I bet they would fit without moving the servo?

I was curious about some battery pack weights. Thunderpower just recently got done with a 2 for 1 sale and I bought some 2700 mah 30c 3s1p packs from them.

The packs have some velcro added to them as well as the battery tray too. So these are slide in and plug in ready.
My older TP 2250 mah 30c pack weighed in at 201 grams.
The new TP 2700 mah 30c pack weighs in at 239 grams.
The latest TP 2250 mah 70c pack weighs in at 212 grams.

What is currently the best deal for a 6s pack with at least 30c rating?

I picked up two for 30 dollars shipped of the glaciers but wondering if anyone has found a better deal out there yet?

I use these http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...arehouse_.html
$29 before shipping but you can usually search and find a buddy code and get them for a few bucks off. I have 4.

The glaciers will be good. At least their 6S 3000+ mah equivalents are good.

I wouldn't worry to much about it. Those may be the best bang for buck right now.

Question about the Pulse 1250 - are the wires still 10AWG or did they use something more reasonable for use with EC3 connectors?

I did finally setup my Pulse 1250s on battery trays for the X3, I had been using them on my Mini and Trexs, but now I am flying them on the X3, and they are very much, just like the Gens Ace 1200 40C!

Man im not liking the deans anymore, the spring got worn out and if i push the plug in all the way , its like there is no bat plugged in.

I use real deans connectors, ill probably switch to ec3. I really like my ec5 on my x5

I have to say I have not had much issue with deans through the years, but now that I am using the EC5s on my X5 I do really like them!

Yeah, I'm not going to change out all my Deans, just going to start building new helis with EC5s for the big birds, and might do EC3s on the smaller ones?

i think the main problem im talking about is the spring on the male deans, its not very sturdy i guess. i put a new one on and twisted it a little. now it goes in firm. but im gona look at ec3 from now on. no more deans for me

I just got a glacier 1200.

Fits good, really good. Its as tall as the gensace 1200 40c
But skinnier. Its about 7mm longer but it doesnt hit anything. Actually has a way to go before it hits anything.
