What was the turn-around time for your Canopy? Did you order a custom lid from their Facebook page or is there a website?

Default Love this little Heli

Thanks to Dave at Anything Heli for setting me up with this great little heli. I looked at the Mini Protos but have had good luck with Gaui's and went with this one since it's a new design. The 360 blades work great with the Scorpion motor. This is my first ICON and it's pretty dawn good. Love the Auto Bailout feature as it's saved me several times already. I use Pulse 1350 6s bats which are slid in wires first so the canopy fits with no wires issues.

I used two small magnets to hold the back of the Canopy together. I saw the upgraded part for sale but knew it only took some CA to do it and some magnets I already had. I don't thread my wires internally because I like to be able to get at them and change out equipment with ease. I use simply plastic clips double sticked to the frame to hold most wires in place. It has always worked well for me.

Ready to maiden... almost. Decided it would be best to wait on the Gryphon Polaris BEC to get here. Was able to get some very low voltages from my Edge Lite 50 on the bench. Weather sucks, so it's no problem waiting another week to get her in the air.

That's automotive reflective tape on the boom. This stuff is super visible in the air and works great as balancing / accent tape on the blades as well. It's on the blades, boom and tail fin on my 7HV.

My X3! Hung it on the wall above my computer. Those skid clamps are pretty cool.

Stupid cold today, but had to wring the X3 out. I flew 3250, 3500,3750 and 4000 headspeeds today with vbar governor. Not surprisingly, 3750 flew the strongest since that's right where I'm geared for. Got VBAR dialed in nicely today. Had a nasty main rotor wobble with hard collective changes at my higher headspeeds and fixed by going down 10 points on main rotor gain. Solid now. Tail hold at 3500+ was rock solid with the stock tail blades. I'm impressed. I logged 63amps max and 1268 watts (6S) with +-13.0 pitch.

What a screaming little monster!

fusionsx00,
Where did you get the white skids on your X3? I like those.
