Here is another video of me flying my gaui x3 last week . I did some tuning changes to the geometry of cyclic. I went with the outer hole on the grips and servos and now I am happy with the way it flies.
I also had 7 flights yesterday with some serious winds and I was shocked at how well it handles the wind!

I put my trigger on this x3, I would like to try it if it's what Im looking for. Compared to a 425mm blades running 6s how this gaui will be on a 325mm 3s setup? No 3d, just sport flights and because of the near size (450-500 class) I'm afraid will be too similar to my 500.

Been flying the 700 too much now I suck at keeping this heli close. Here it is on 380's QF servos and the all mighty Xnova 1860! 3000 rpms on brain gov

Getting back into it, haven't flown much in the last 6 or 8 months. Just switched out the 350's for 360's, really like the 360's.

Please explain? I don't have an incredible amount of flights on mine yet, and mine is the CNC gold version. So maybe different? What happens to the jesus bolt?

Ironically I had the nylock nut on my X5 come off in flight. When I landed the bolt flew out as the rotor spooled down. Then when i picked it up the rotor came off. Is it something like this? Or does the bolt actually wear out?

The jesus bolt bends then breaks in flight. Usually you feel this as minor blade tracking error and zero pitch a bit off. Then it snaps off. Head and nut come off leaving a piece of the bolt in the main shaft. I'm using the hardware that comes with the main shafts and not over tightening. This has happened pretty frequently for me.

Here is one where the head came off in flight leaving the center of the bolt behind. No other damage to the heli. Aside from a break away servo horn.

This is after one flight the bolt is slightly bent. Not sure what to do I like this heli but can't fly it with this problem.

+1. I had this same problem on my 600. It was the type of bolts I was using. The threads weaken the bolt, so you need to use one with an unthreaded shank, just like Tonys-heli said.

Wow, so this is the first I'm hearing/seeing of this issue with that bolt. Obviously it should be a shoulder bold like you guys are saying. Only problem is, finding one this size isn't easy. But I found some options..

First is a semi threaded shoulder bolt from Gaui. The shoulder doesn't look long enough to pass the whole rotor head. But they might be a little better than the one without a shoulder at all.

Second is a bolt from SAB. It's 3mm too long at 15mm compared to the stock 12. However, the nut might still tighten or else a couple washers might fix it up. It's so close to the center that it shouldn't cause much off balance I don't think. If your handy with a dremel and cut the bolt just right. You could cut the 3mm off and this bolt would probably fit just right from the looks of it. I have a pretty good measuring eye, but I could be wrong. Either way, I'm pretty sure this bolt could work one way or the other.

I'll have to take a look at mine. I've only got about 125 flights on my X3 Gold. I'm not sure how quickly this is happening for you. But now I'll have to keep an eye on it. Here is a flight from the other day at the park... and yes the grass is green and it was like 80°... Not sure when the "winter" is going to come for us here.

+1. This should be a semi threaded (shouldered?) bolt as others have suggested. On all my crashes I have had to replace this, and/or, the jesus bolt on the bottom of the shaft which is, I believe, the same bolt... threaded all the way through.
