Default Maxima FBL receiver with S-Bus

Just noticed this new receiver in the 2014 Hitec catalog: http://hitecrcd.com/files/2014_HRU_Catalog-Opt.pdf

I guess Hitec fans will be glad to finally lose a few wires on their helis...but no telemetry on the Maxima series.

The maxima with s-bus is not out yet. But is coming real soon should be out before the flying season next year I would think.

Yeah, I knew I had not seen it for sale or even listed on Hitec's site--only in that 2014 catalog.

Flying season next year? In south Tennessee it is often much better to fly in winter than summer ;-) My season is year round, but I could definitely see it being September - June instead of skipping the winter.

I was just complaining to my buddies about this, I can't stand that Hitech doesn't have any sort of S-Bus or satellite setup. I can't use the ikons governor and that makes me upset. The fact that this is coming out next season is too little too late. I love my Aurora9 but this should have come out a couple of years ago. Looks like this will only be compatible with the A9X

From what I was told should be March release. Also yes you can still use it on gov you just didn't run tail gains through the radio. This is the same on vbar also. But to be honest I don't trust vbar gov

I picked up mine in at at http://www.worldhobbies.com/product/...MASL_item.html I was tired of waiting for the $15 it made it here in 3 days very strange that it shipped so fast.

Still haven't put it on anything It's so hard to part with battery telemetry. Some of my packs are 4-5 years old so it's nice to know what they're actually at and not use a timer.
Hmm I wonder if I could just leave my optima plugged in to the spc port and run the Maxima on sbus and keep battery telemetry?

Just finished configuring the Maxima SL for a new build using my Gpro. So far no issues with S-Bus. All of the channels center and travel fine.

I did have an issue with AccuRC so if anyone is looking to use the Maxima SL with that sim it doesn't work well. It works but there's a twitch of all channels every couple seconds. It's really annoying to fly that way.
I e-mailed AccuRC support and they said that they have not tested the sim with the Maxima so it's not supported. It's odd I figured S-bus was S-bus why go with a standard if it isn't supported on every device?

Oh well it does work well with the Gpro so I'll keep it there.

I would be very cautious, we are still waiting for spartan and hitec to come back to us with the facts and see who is at fault. I'm surprised its taken this long. Anyway I have to bite my tongue for now...

I'll keep an eye on it and test it more than I normally do. If I see anything odd I'll throw my optima on there. I may anyway for the telemetry I just like the cleaner install with the sbus. I hope they get it worked out.
