On the gear sub trim it stops at 100. Last the gear travel stops at 125. |

Well I have a broken landing gear on my 350qx right now, but I did start playing with my DX7s while looking at the monitor. It looks like if you just plug the above values into mix 2 and 3 it will work. I set the switch on gear 1 (acro setup) to activate Stagility. Kind of complex operation but it should go: F mode 0 - smart mode F mode 1 - stability f1 + mix - agility f1 + gear - stagility It also looks like the the gear switch being left on accidentally would cause smart mode to switch into others. will take some experimenting. |

![]() Quickest "sticky" ever!! Now if I could just get some warmer weather and less wind to go test this awesomeness...

![]() From bench testing it with the dx6i it looks like these settings work:
Travel Adj Gear (up) 100% Gear (down) 83% Sub Trim Gear -98 Mix 1 Aile -> Gear Rate D -125% U + 125% SW MIX Trim Inh Mix 2 ELEV -> Gear Rate D -125% U + 125% SW MIX Trim Inh After a fair bit if testing these settings seem to emulate the behaviour in indoorhelis video pretty closely. As I said I have only bench tested these settings as I'm waiting for a break in the weather ![]() I would be interested in feedback from other dx6i owners! |

![]() I have a dx 18 and now after doing this mix it will automatically go into the mix setting...The switch can be on or off, it doesnt matter. Also in safe mode if the stick is moved too far it will go into stability mode....did I do something wrong or does it do it to you guys too? It seems like the H switch does not matter which position it is in

![]() Do you have a single point for switch H selected?
Check out the video around 6:50. In it you will see that only a single point on switch H (2 position switch) is selected for each mix (point 1 highlighted, point 0 not ) Stagility is made for stability to agility transition while in FM1 for stability. Since smart modes stock setting is at +100 it will change the effect if you are not the correct FM. I am working on a smart to stability for altitude lock. Though it might just be better to bind with gps off for that ![]() I am almost done with a spm file for easy dx9/18 programming

![]() Just set it up on the 6i, what use to be blue mode is now red mode on the bench. From the video it should be in blue until you have right stick movement. Is this true for the 6i?

![]() I have just come up with a new mix for the dx7s and 8 that will make the center point adjustable like the dx9. Might work with the dx6i too if Flaps mix is adjustable.
It will not need any trim or travel adjust as it is a 3 mix combo. Please check first post for updates. |

![]() I see a couple posts that say it works on the Nano QX...but I cannot get it to work...
Finally figured out My problem with the 180QX, thanks to NT7R... Anyone seen specific settings for the Nano?

![]() Nano uses a "double tap" it will require a special mix if possible.
I havent had a chance to finish it yet ![]() Right now for the nano, I have the mode switch on a flight mode toggle, with a single toggle activation via the sequencer. I have been playing with other stagility setups for other radios so more can access the stagility mix easier with more adjustability. |

![]() indoorheli, this is very cool, and very clever, thanks for sharing!

If you are giving any non-centered-stick inputs on at least cyclic (haven't checked Rudder) when you toggle your nQX from Stability back to Agility, it will assume those inputs are neutral. On the ground, hold some forward-elevator in Stability, then toggle to Agility, center the elevator, add some throttle, and watch it likely try to tip over. So the mixes are likely possible. Like you said, you need a full toggle Low/High/Low on the Pitch channel (in my case; or Flaps for Acro), to change the mode. The trouble is that as you toggle into Agility, the stick has to be off-center, which means that amount of forward-elevator (or whatever) will suddenly be considered neutral, in Agility. So you'd start a flip, change into Agility, then kinda go dead in the air, no longer flipping, until you move the stick *further* (but, as partial-stick is now considered "center", you'll have reduced the remaining travel you have available). It would likely fly strangely. You also give up cyclic control during the High-signal portion of the Low/High/Low toggle, so that had better be a very quick blip of the signal going High before back to Low. Too bad they designed the nQX this way. I assume it's so they could use a really-cheap RTF TX that doesn't have a switch for Stability on/off, merely a momentary toggle that's used to make it change modes every time. But it also means the TX can't even be certain of which mode the nQX is in, as it's merely a "blind" toggle. If it used the channel being High to dictate going into Agility, we could probably use your (very clever!!) method with the Nano QX. This being said, I'm happy to be proven wrong!

![]() Can anyone confirm how much gear trim the dx6i has?
If it has -125 trim, dial it in and set EPA for gear at 100% up and down. If it has more sub trim dial up to -150% for around -45% gear programmed in. Use this in combo with the dx7/8 mixes. The subtrim will give you the adjustability of center, but should give all normal mode function with stagility mode off. |
