Default What did you do to your 350QX today?

Crashed it!
Took a quick trip to my LHS and got a new body. Looks like I have something to do tonight and tomorrow during the upcoming snow storm.

Maybe I should look into programing that Stagility mode into my DX8 now.

Putting my 350 qx on more hold , due to a canceled radio, so maybe I'll wait for a show, or get a better radio with all the bells and whistles . like to be able not to see a screen., and hear the timer. I am going to bring back to life the original uad Lol

My LHS has 2-3 bodies in stock at all times. I am a repeat customer.

I glanced over at mine, thinking I need to finish up the gimbal installation but put it aside after seeing the weather forecast, no rush.....

As my 14-year old would say "That's just creepy. Cool...but, creepy. Can I fly it?"

I was in the same position last Tuesday, 'bout this time in fact, when I decided to fly my Blade into a tree & crash onto neighbor's driveway with a resounding crack of exploading plastic.

Turned it around on the shelf so I could plug in the GoPro to charge..it rained all afternoon
Oh and if this counts I attempted to balance some Gemfan 9X4.7 composite props..that didn't go so well..2 CCW balanced no problems..the 2 CW have issues..
I also did part 3 of of a 4 part process of JB welding a broken body for a spare

Well, yesterday I burned out my FPV tx (exposed wire touched aluminum tape I used to shield it - poof). Then, on my second battery flight, I was negotiating an open space and did not notice a tree branch - quad fell 15-20 upside down onto rain-swollen grass. I thought trees are supposed to be 90% air? Anyway, the top of the frame (the brand new one I replaced last week) around motor #2 cracked. What a day!

Oh that sucks! These frames seem to quite fragile, that is for sure. Why they can't make one out of a better "plastic", IDK. I would even pay a little extra for one if it were available, and the cold we have now just makes the OEM one even more fragile.

I didn't do much to the 350QX...but I did quite a bit of programming within the StaGility Mode parameters on the 350QX and the 180QX...adding some additional voice callouts for the buxom babe who lives inside My DX9 and re-arranging the control switches to My liking

I also created some comparisons to exemplify the differences between running in Agility Mode at 100 EPA vs StaGility Mode at 150 EPA...and listed the results in the 350QX StaGility Mode thread in an effort to expand on the common Mild vs Wild conversions

My favorites?

VW Beetle vs Lamborghini

Roseanne Barr vs Angelina Jolie

Garter Snake vs Garters-n-Lace !

Have one you'd like to add to the list?

I just froze my tail off this morning and it was only 19 degrees. It didnt seem so cold last time I flew in less..

Had to flyer higher than normal since my fingers had slower reaction time.

Did you get a chance to try the 350qx out at 150EPA 125 rates? The 350 maxed out is absolutely unbelievable.

I'm fired up on 2 cups of coffee, brainstorming a low profile, quick release mount idea for the Tarot Gimbal using gopro mounts. I suppose I should stop procrastinating and order the gimbal already lol.
