That would be awesome since I was thinking about joining that club possibly. I don't have a AMA card but I was thinking of picking it up with some tax money. So I should have one somewhat soonish.

Some cold weather flying. It was in the 20s and several inches of snow on the ground.

This I really cool! I was out today too it's about 20 here. First time in like three weeks because it's been zero or less. Tomorrow it's supposed to hit 30! Definitely going to try and get a few flights in. I love my 600x

Hi all,
I tried to post yesterday but must have wiped it out somehow, anyway it seams I can not post pictures yet (tried 3 times).
So all I have for now is this video from the other day working on PID tuning in my 600X. let see if it goes thru this time....

It doesn't necessarily look like a vibration, but I'm quite sure I'm seeing a bit of a wobble or oscillation. What FBL unit are you running?

Edit: Nevermind. I just read your video description when I went directly to the YouTube link, and it appears you already noticed the oscillation. Good deal.

D22597,
great video, i also live a cold area and last time i fly under 20 degrees, my giro went crazy (tail loosing control). I have to drop my giro from 43% to 23%...how do you deal with your giro? do you have issues with the cold, like i did?

Tugman,
i just finished to build my 600x , i started a year ago with 500x and had so much hard time to fly (crash lol), step back and purchased a 300x. Today, i enjoyed to fly my 500x starting 3d inverted and loop (thanks to many hours in my sim lol). If i was you, i will get a small size heli to get my hand to it. Those 600x are $$$ to fix. I know what you thinking, bigger is more stable but $$$ to fix it.

happy flying

I've never had issues with my gyro in the cold. I've flown down to zero degrees farienheit before and never had any problems. I have heard that letting them sit outside before you fly helps, but I don't do that and don't have any troubles.

Default Got one of the last...

I just got one of the last of these from A-main. I've had my eye on this one since it was introduced, so getting one for $300 is great. Any bugs to watch out for, or construction hints would be appreciated. I'm a long time glow heli flyer, but new to larger electrics. -Thanks

You may want to increase your head speed. I had a similar issue and 150 RPM completely corrected it.

Thank you. I never experienced any issues with my BeastX or other electronics. Only things I do different is keep my batteries warm in a cooler, use a transmitter mitt and shorten my flight flight times by 30 seconds or so.
