Has anyone confirmed that fuel tubing works? Also is it standard procedure to file a groove for the o-ring to sit in?

Thanks!

Mine have been working great by applying a tiny amount of CA to the o-rings, but obviously not over the cut.

Naturally that doesn't apply if you're using fuel tubing but it's very easy to do.

Just take a main post of a stipped set of gear, you may have a few if you haven't done the mod yet , glue the metal pin in it with ca. Then insert it in the chuck of a late or a dremel or any other drill that is kept horizontal with a vise or otherwise.

Once that is done, just slip the servo arm on it and secure it with the screw on the end.

While it's turning, you apply the tip of a pointed object, a tiny round file is ideal but the tip of a not too pointed knife should do. (See photo on post #64)

That's it. Mine have stay in place in the few hundred flights I've put on it since they are installed and have saved at least a dozen set of gear.

Good luck.

I'm using fuel tubing leftover from the nitro days. Works great for me, just cut a relatively thin slice of it. Necessity is the mother of invention eh?

I had clearance problems with the o rings I was using. Switched to fuel tubing and have no problems at all.

Gotta say that this mod is worth it's weight in gold. It has already saved me countless times.

Just using standard fuel tubing back from my nitro days.

Looks like an interesting design.
Split and gaped arm will insure spline contact pressure (better than the simple cut).
Latex like tube is probably a better design than the O ring (needs testing).
Washer (needs testing)
But
Was going to order a few sets and test drive their servo arm.
NIX
No vendors are selling them and Lynx shipping to USA is $17.
I had some in my cart also, got to the shipping and said.... Hell no!
