Default Rotary servo conversion

Hi folks,

I recently built a 130x from scratch using all Microheli parts, this was the linear frame type but I now want to convert it to rotary servos.

Microheli does a kit of three cyclic rotary servos, just wondering if anyone here has used these servos and are they an improvement on the stock linear servos.

I'm in the UK so I'll have to purchase these from the US as I can't find any here.

Thanks for any help,
John

Thanks for the reply

All I can see on the Microheli site is a set of three cyclic servos, there is no mounting kit included:
http://www.microheli.com/store/produ...oducts_id/1942

Microheli does a few different servo mounting kits but I'm not sure what I need, this is my frame:
http://www.microheli.com/store/produ...oducts_id/1033

Also would one of those servos be ok for the tail?

John I believe these are what your looking for to mount those servos to your MH frame.
http://www.microheli.com/store/produ...oducts_id/1944

Im not sure but I don't think those servos will work as a tail gyro servo. Id have to check on it.

Ok, thanks for the reply, I have emailed Microheli but haven't had a reply so far.

I can get a Lynx tail servo and mount here in the UK so I may go for that, shame I can't get the cyclic servos here.

Thanks for the link super bad, I purchased an upgraded frame for my Trex 150 from heli-nation but didn't think to check if they sold 130x upgrades.

Just hate the wait for parts coming from the USA.

You can card me at the clubhouse door:
I own two 130X (and NO trex 150) but has anyone tried the trex 150 servos?

I have a spare set of trex 150 servos but I don't think they will fit, one needs to be reversed plus they clip into the frame using small locating pins so there are no mounting tabs to fit the screws.

Thanks for posting the vids super bad

Looking at the model number on the bag in your third video it's the same as what's listed on the MH site so as you mention they don't list the mounting brackets even though they are included.

Many thanks for confirming this GravityBlows.

I'll be getting the Lynx Heli 130X Tail Servo DS-883 With Support Set Red Devil LX0526, hope this will be ok for sport flying, I have read on here that the Lynx servo can be troublesome.

the troublesome part is being worked out, trying out a new potentiometer.

The Lynx tail servo arrived today, WOW! What a difference, tail is now rock solid with zero drift and no wag.

If the cyclic servos are as good then I'll be happy, found a supplier in the UK for the MH servos so they should be here tomorrow.

@super bad, which servo arms did you use when fitting your Microheli servos?

I used the single strait horn with 3 wholes in it and used the center whole

I have gone back and remounted my servos to straiten up the links so that its not on 2 angles
