Hi, i would go with Ec5 they are rated up to 120 amps, in my case we are going maybe 70 Amps, but that guaranties that it will not fail,

P.d where do you guys fly? I'm supposing you are in Mexico.

How are you planning to charge the lipo? I just bought a icharger 4010 and a bunch of dell 750w power supply. I think I bought too much, need to sell some.

Benc: I am using a Hitec X1AC Plus charger. Not sure what you mean by "I need to sell some"

Benc: I have done a little bit more about preparing to place the FC and connecting the Naza to the receiver, but really at a stand still until I get my gryphon power distribution board.

My gryphon pdb is nice, but now I need to make some extension cables so it can reach the gryphon board, also I know is really too much, but I bought 8awg cable to attach to the board and battery. Should of gotten 10 awg

I just received my Gryphon PDB and now need to rethink the location. Will be better (cable length wise) to mount the PDB in the front. Will have to wait til I get back from my trip. Will post the update next weekend

David,
I placed my PDB in the front as well, it makes logic as all cables end there coming out from each arm, hope you can fly your quad soon, I'm having tons of fun with mine.

Good luck on your trip!

I didn't, and they have no tracking, I think they come well balanced out of the box.

I just mounted mines in the back, align with the holes. Does the holes in the front align ?

Instead of soldering the battery cables to the pdb, I crimp the wires and then bolt it on with a screw and nut. Had to make some extension cables.

Benc, problem placing it there is that the PDB is over the quad's C.G., the F.C. might give you problems.

I can put the fc on top of the upper plate. Keeping all the power wires conceal.

Default 11 April Update

Got back from my trip and got a lot accomplished today. Took off the original wire bundle because it was for the Spyder 6 configuration so lots of extra bullet ends. I soldered the bullet connectors on to the wire bundle (after I cut it apart and tinned the ends of the wires that I cut). Decided that I would add bullet connectors tot he PMU power ends so that if I needed to disconnect it for some reason it would be easier.

I plan to use the enclosed tray for the power shelf so that I have room to add a voltage regulator when I add FPV equipment and the top tray for the FC so that I have easy access.

Will finish the FC mount tonight (Naza M with GPS and BTU) and then try to do a power on this weekend and radio programming (DX9). Next weekend will be the maiden flight 'fingers crossed' so I am not rushing into this, making sure I am doing it right.

Just a couple of pics. I like how clean the install is. With the Gryphon Power Distribution board it is a snug fit - but it is a great piece of kit.
