Default SK540 Govenor+Log File

I am running a Castle Edge esc along with the SK540 and am trying to figure out the SK540 logging. The SK540 is setup to gov mode.

My castle esc is setup with external gov along with fixed inputs to allow the Sk540 to handle the gov stuff. I also have logging turned to measure RPM through the Castle esc.

The Sk540 is setup with manage collective, 1400 RPM across the board with an 8.62 gear ratio (112t main plus a 13t pinion)

After a flight I try to pull up the SK540 log file. The one thing that is not there is the RPM data in the log file. If I click on the view/voltage, rpm etc tab, the SK540 alway shows 1800 rpm and nothing else. The 1800 rpm never changes regardless of what rpm I set in the drive system tab.

However, the Castle Edge log shows the rpm to be 1450 or there abouts.

I guess the main question is why doesnt the rpm displayed on the view tab change when I edit the rpm under the drive system tab on the SK540?

Thanks, Shawn

=]. Shawn hi, it's possibly quicker if you post a log up, in the meantime what radio, and if the quoted gear ratio has been entered into the software, it's missing 2 parts of the calc, can we please start here?

=] gear ratio needs to be re-set, you need to multiply 8.62 with the motor pole magnet (not stator) count, then divide by two ie,

8.62 x 6 / 2 = 25.85 for a 6 pole motor.....

Georgi, thank you very much for clearing this up. I now realize what I did wrong.

I took the number from the Castle esc, 8.62, and plugged that into the Skookum.. Doh!

Much appreciated
