Default Parts arrived

Got my parts less a canopy and sticker color is off? I got the Rakon, and I do want to fly the original body till I can no longer, do a Fall project on the build. I guess now I have to look for a way to make a canopy, knowing recycled soda or juice bottles will do. heck even the beat up 200Qx body top, lol.

I was shy for the free gift, and guess that is that, I asked, and a no go?

Again no rush, and when we say that we all know its completed in a day or two, will see, how the spirits are, lol?

I was shocked how the pkg looked so small, maybe the cover will do, lol for a canopy. Red is cranberry red deep red love the color. With Steve P making a ribbon cable, that is what I will be doing as well. I will be reading up, doing my bestest to get some video build but we all know its been done before.

So what have I done to by 200QX today, not a thing but tell you about the rakon we all know about

I got tired of dealing with the tiny Velcro battery strap that came with my PFG frame. I used idea from the days when I use to have a 130X and attached the battery with some 3M Dual Lock. We'll see how it works out.

Default OMG

You had to be a rocket scientist to do this build. was not hard once it got started. I was going to do a timelape, and felt already one vid out there, tis good enough!

Time it took to tear apart was fast no troubles with any of the silver screws, the black washer type screws one or two gave trouble. but fast.

Hardest understanding part was the board with that arrow trying to put it in order. as I looked it over it went together. took about 2 plus hours, relaxed not tensed. I suggest to take your time on the arms the holes must match up to the bolts, do not over tighten. my suggestion and hint.

I used a USB charger plastic that side to side a strip covering the ant and ribbon that Steve P suggested.

I am tired and finished will complete it another time, it is ready and all I have to do now is add the fpv mount, and red nuts on top.

I changed the props to these for now. did a test hover WOW. better than ever, will have some fun later. for now this is where I stand

I added these LED's a bit ago. I got bored with the stock front ones.

Flashing 200QX lights.... (0 min 27 sec)

Default Rakon

I thought I fly out front, at the evening hour see how nice the set up looks.

3 plus minutes tops first LVC

Personally that is 50% loss of flight time from original body? No funny flying at all, real low angle slow flying.

I personally want to go buy a Blade body stick her right back in if this is what I am getting. First warning battery is on charger at 3.19 per cell, Do I chance flying to second lvc warning now?

I will place on the 30C rates I have they are fully charged and time the flight hoping I see the 9 minute was it. not sure why 9 min sticks in my mind, but Three minutes may be right but wrong.

Not upset.

I have the brake light on in white OUCH that sucker lights up NICE. but people say will not draw power to cut my flight time down.

I guess my only way to tell is to transplant back in and deal with breaking bodies all over again.

A) bat can be old, no.
B)run time being aggressive, no
C) rakon is heavier or just battery consuming? possible.

No chance of fpv till I figure out the loss of run time. well not here t oRant, I am here saying what I did to day was observe a full first flight oris it 2nd flight testing out the body. I clearly can see the leds at any angle not sure why people say they can't

Charger completed the charge and that tells me to ignore the 1st lvc warning and fly to the second.

Love to snap a shot to show you all how I see my quad??? I will!!! sorry all photos are a blur, but a video shall do? the tree smacked the quad to the floor dam!

Please do not get me wrong. a few minutes feels like seconds to us hobbists.

Rakon 200QX people can not see leds right (0 min 37 sec)

Stock body gets me 6min hard flying with 5040's cut down i get 4 min so i would say shotty lipo even tho its new? Also the frame difference in weight should only really be 5 to 10 grams tops. Honsetly i like the stock body because well... Its light. I would like to find maybe a 2. 2.5 mm thick carbon fiber frame but single piece just for mounting electronics and motors and velcro lipo to bottom. I like to rip around. If anyone has any recommendations on a significant weight savings over stock body shoot away im interested but so far i havent really seen anything

No link. Just pick up some 3.2/3.4 volt fast flashing LED's, 220 Ohm 1/4 Watt resistors. Remove the existing stock LED's from the wire and connector. solder the resistor to the positive lead and then the resistor to the positive side of the new LED. The longer piece of metal on the LED is the positive side. Solder the negative lead to the negative side of the LED, shrink wrap everything and your good.

I have a few sets of resistors and LED's laying around for those who may be interested.

Default rakon runtime

understanding the slightest modification can change runtime?

Igot a video up and I had 3 flights. enjoyed the fun, for sure. I hit LVC fast but kept going, as I gotten to the almost last warning I felt the loss of power.

5 minutes
not sure, but am sure 1.5 minutes first warning 4 plus minutes on 2nd and 5 minutes I got.

Ihave 3-D propellers, only put on because first thing I picked out to put on. I shall switch to the originals and give a flight.

Hada blast and that is all that matters.

problem solved

Wait, wait, wait, all I am doing lol. last bat on charge. changed out to stock props, glued with two types, the led LG and wrapped tape going to lose it I know it? a spare screw in the rakon kit does not fit.

I will be testing out at the field the run time

from start to stop of video brake light on. will not damper the discharge.

I know a simple crash will do me in. and I will take with me a 1.5 2S if I have to to get a longer flight but weight drags it down Lol.

Got bit of bling in the mail direct from Rakon today.

Are you suppose to use the star washer with these prop nuts or no?

Default SInce I got 1 led landing leg less

I also have one less rubber gromitt, lost that as well, and Pops up near me. I taken a straw cut to size and filled with gorilla white glue some and added a toothpick, I opened up the nut to find the torn apart screw cheap stuff breaks fast

Rakon heli used a cheap Phillips screw, and I lost the led leg.

While the glue dries I worked on another project and the glue hold broke, lol

All I need to do now is attach to the rakon the leg and done.

Here is the leg, for now it works need to cut a mm off,on a tilt till I figure out a better solution
