Well they look superior scale, take a look at the picture below this is the real thing;

And JesteRR landing gear;

I will ask a colleague to CNC mill the mounts to complete this mission By the way there is still quite few details to be added so I am not done yet,..

I agree with you Roy skids are very impressive. Just can't believe how much better the fuselage looks with just adding appropriate landing gear.

JestRR is mastering on making the landing skids.

I have made the steps for former landing skids before, now I am trimming and setting them for new set of Landing gear and they fit perfectly.

Looking good and paralel as it suppose to be.

Even from above steps are set as suppose to be.

Great project you are working on here! I just started the same fuse and am not happy with the stock gear, nor am I happy with the windshield...nowhere near correct with how it bulges out at he top. do you plan on doing anything with the windshield or are you going to leave it as is? I am going to make my own skids or get a set from Jest.

Hi Jetblue2135, thx regarding project.

Windshield and landing gear are the obvious not correctdetail on this fuselage and air intakes on doghouse etc.

I wanted to change landing gear and set of plastic windows by contacting the factory. What I got was new set of windshield without colour I will be making it differently, regarding landing gear they said they can't make it by my blueprint so I have decided to ask JestRR if he can make skids for me, everything else is in the forum build .

P.S. If you have any questions regarding the build you are welcome to ask, I will be glad to help.

Peter

Today I was more or less being involved with few details on landing gear but most with checking how they will fit the fuselage.

Does anyone know the best way to contact JestRR ?

I sent a pm to see if he'd be willing to make up a set of scale skids like the ones in this thread but haven't heard anything.

Thanks

So as said detailing on landing gear under process. I am recreating saddle joints,...

Look on the real one;

and imitation ; aluminium tube cut by dremel and sanded

Using slow curing epoxy to glue to the landing gear and to fill the gaps epoxy + micro balloons

Sanding, sanding, sanding and some more sanding and this it the outcome,...

to be continued

Another magnificent job in adding detail Peter !!! Looks great !

Seeing the effort going in to this project makes me want to buy the unpainted fuselage and go all out. Very inspiring work !
