So the fuselage massacre, had begun ,...

After epoxy cured I have wet sanded everything around added material. Than I have epoxied rail reinforcement, not yet being fully supported with glassfiber but they will get that reinforcement in the near future

So how now my Jet Ranger beauty look,... Guys from Monty Python would say "something completely different"

Enjoy,
Peter

Well guys, I have missed one tiny detail on horizontal stabilizators, so the aluminium plate had been added on both sides,..

The missing piece on the real heli;

and on my heli;

I have also glued the lower rail for sliding door,...

At this stage the build will stay for approx 14 days, I am going on summer leave, keep up modelling. The build continues when I return from the nice place called island of Pasman foto below!

Take care,

Peter

Looks absolutely awesome so far! When it's all said and done, I don't know if I would fly it or display it behind glass Keep up the great work!

Ive been trying to make contact with Roban for months now regarding getting the older (correct) windshield to no avail. I tried a few times, never heard back from them....terrible customer service.

jetblue2135 thank you for your kind words. I was thinking similar regarding putting the model under the glass. I maybe will do that someday But in general I wanna see it fly

Well I had great time on the island of Pasman and did think about the tasks and challenges still needed to pass for completion of the already three years JR project

I can say I did nice job this week and finally more or less finish the sliding door.

So here is the outcome,.. still quite few details to add and cut out the opening for the window,.. but the main problem is solved,..

To be continued,..

Hi Russ, thank you.

I am not using primer yet. At the moment it is just a small amount of filler being sprayed over to flatten the surface and prepare for additional detailing and primer.

Hi Russ,

The build is quite of a challenge, using different techniques, working with a lot of materials and trying to recreate the look of the real flying helicopter. It is fun and great experience. I am trying to post as much details as possible since it is great reading material.

Have fun, with watching the build progress, much has been done but there is still a few things to be made until complete. The journey continues,...

Thanks again for your kind words!

Peter

Roy thank you, lately I have been more present on the airfield collecting flying hours on the real soar glider than building JR III, but I am slowly coming to the end of the build. What is left for me to do from mayor cutting and adopting will be opening on the belly part of the front of helicopter for lights. I have to say I am pleased with the work done so far, there is still a few things to manufacture, but as I said I am bringing this build slowly to finish.
