I did receive a longer main shaft from RC Aerodyne, just have to say the thing is over priced big time, but it will contribute that mechanics will follow the look of the original shaft

I just can't install the shaft since I have to get swashplate follower to follow the look of a real ship.

Hi nice looking Jetranger,

You need also a longer pitch linkage rods to accomodate the taller head.

Cheers,
Helikid

Hi Helikid, thanks for kind words.Regarding longer pitch links I am aware of that and they will be longer, but before I buy them I need to solve scale look of a swashplate follower. Now I am more or less looking for follower part.

Cheers, Peter

Well this week I am quite busy with family and business so I made few "bodyfications" to the doghouse thaw a lot more is still needed to be done.

Filling holes would be the right sentence And below is the outcome before detailed water sending.

My ROBAN fuselage looks like below:

This is left side beeing done:

Looking quite good,..

Nice reworking of the air intakes. It's quite a challenge taking it on but the results are well worth the effort. Keep it up.

Hi Pete,
Agreed that most r/c fuselage kits of Bell Jetranger are nowhere true to scale-like features of actual bird.
I was planning to get a Funkey 60 size Bell Jetranger and build it up with all the major corrections.
Lots of remodelling will be needed to get the scale looking right.

Anyway once I do get this JR project going I will post it up.....

Cheers,
George

Yes standard fuselage kits are light years away from real thing.

Keep us posted with your JR project George.

As said I will re-adjust the doghouse air intakes, since I didn't like the former upgrade enought.

I have added material + epoxy to fill the hols;

And after re-make the air intakes are as they should be in the first place;

So finally I have continued work on Doghouse. Started with details.

Real thing is having hinges, I wish to replicate that details on fuselage;

I have used small stripe of vitroplast as material and glue to add material to the fuselage:

Aditional sanding will be requred, but fake hinges are already looking great.

After adding hinges to the back of Doghouse I added them also in the front.

It realy helps to higher up the level of realism.

,.. next, adding more details,..

There is aditional opening on JR III and another detail, boys at ROBAN forgot to make;

So dremel was playing his role today

After cuting, edges of opening and a material were sanded. I have sliced one smal stripe of vitroplast and glued on inner part to hold material on its place. After that epoxy was used to secure everything on its place.

The last thing I did today was adding material for a coling system that was left out on this fuselage. I added polystryol as material, shaped and secured it with epoxy.

,... one pict more to come
