Peter"

Pitch links are Fabulous !! .. Even tapered toward the threaded ends .. and maybe a check-nut near the ball end ?!

I've been dreaming of making pitch links like that, that don't look like "toothpicks" .. I actually bought a mini-lathe and mini-mill for some of these little projects !

Also noticed your added accordion boot between the swash plate and swash follower .. PERFECT !!

GREAT work, on your part .. keep those reports coming .. many of us are watching and enjoying your great scale work ..

Will do Russ, threads are M3 but at this point since I do not have it yet with me I can't check what side threading it is manufactured.

Will report back as soon as I get my hands on those beauties

Cheers,
Peter

Peter:

That is good info on the M3 threads ..

Really all I have to know .. I can make Left Hand and Right Hand threads and drill a small hole through the side of the pitch link to adjust pitch and tracking with a small piece of music wire, or small hex key ..

Please send me blueprint anyway .. for link diameter .. would guess at 5MM or so ..

Russ you are near exact thickness with your guess. At the center it is 5,6mm. I will add bluprint as soon as I get back home.

Edit: adding blueprint

No problem Ross, hope links bluprint will be useful. Maybe double check the lenght, for your main rotor head. I am using longer shaft.

Have a great weekend,
Peter

Again I had some time to continue with my build,... I have moved hinges to the place where the real heli have them. Hols from previous Roban instalation are still seen.

Cargo bay,...

That is it for now,...

Russ thanks, I am trying my best, heli to look as close as possible to the real one,... I was adding another important detail, belly strobe light with tube where the light is installed.

On the real one this detail looks like this:

The look on my project is this:

I have used Aluminum tube that I have covered with Polystyrol and glued everything with epoxy glue to the fuselage.

Added some hols to the belly and now this would be more or less everything on the belly.

To be continued,...

Peter:

AWESOME details !!

Would you mind sharing your source for the strobe light and lense ??

I am looking for REALLY bright strobes, as well as landing and position lights, and would like not to have to make my own Fresnel lenses, if I can buy them somewhere ?!

Russ hi, regarding Led covers lens I used Emcotec lens cut one top off and glued with epoxy another one on the top. https://www.helifreak.com/showpost.p...2&postcount=96

Thaw I will probably try to 3D print those lens.

Well guys my work on cargo bay is more or less finished, did add some aditional details,..

The real one:

And my is looking like this after face lift Adding 0,5mm polystyrol and a lock from Hobby King

Details inside cargo bay,...Material used Glass fiber 0,1mm cut to reduce weight and covered with 0,5mm polystyrol,...

That is it for now

Cheers,

Peter

Well guys my good friend, persuaded me to use magnets instead of lock, since lock realy gives Cargo bay a redneck cottage look

Here is new look far more pristine,...

There are some details to be taken care off, but now Cargo bay looks like real one

Enjoy,.. Peter
